49: The Long Conversations

Siya's Pov

"Congratulations Siya, finally the work starts today, I knew I could trust you," Mr. Juan says as he walks up to me, the inauguration ceremony went well and now everyone is clearing the space so that officially the construction for our Amusement Park can start.

I smiled, "Thank you for your trust sir," I said and saw Ananya and Rishi waiting for me, after talking to Mr. Juan for a little more while I bid bye to him and walked towards them, on my way I watched amused as Raj, Kanishk's PA, and Vihaan were having a blast while joking around, and I didn't even know those two were friends!

I need to tell Kanishk about this, I grin as I remember our talks from last night, he did call me when he came back from his meeting and it was late at night to wish me luck, I did try to stay awake but I guess Kanishk just knew that I was sleepy and exhausted because he kept our talks short

I smile as I reach Ananya and take her in a side hug, "Thanks for coming guys," I say, and Rishi laughs.

"As if we had any choice in that matter," he says, and Ananya laughs.

I smile and look behind Rishi and let out a surprised gasp, "Rudra," I see as he walks towards me, hands in his pockets and a small smile on his face, "What a surprise, I didn't know you were coming," I say as he reaches us as he and takes Rishi in a side hug.

"I had some work in Mumbai, I thought why not come here," he says grinning and I smile, his main office was in Goa and I heard from Kanishk that he was planning on shifting here permanently, all thanks to his sister Anika and mother Nisha Chachi.

"You did good man, I wanted to talk to you about something important anyway," Rishi chipped in as I looked at them confused and suspicious as they did their eye-talking thing. Rudra nods and looks at me, "We'll be back," he says as he and Rishi start walking the opposite side, whispering as if talking about something top secret work.

"What was that?" I ask Ananya who shrugs her shoulders, looking equally confused as she stares at her husband.

"God knows," she whispers and looks at me, "By the way I don't know how much you know about it, but Dev Sinha," she starts speaking and I looked at her confused.

"What happened?"

"He's broke, I was just telling you about this because I heard your sister had something to do with it, and he was really angry yesterday, he came to Rishi's office asking for a loan, I don't know the details but Rishi was pissed off when he left," she explains and I groan.

"So he was telling the truth," I whisper and suddenly my mood falls, "If my sister is involved, my father will ask me to do the damage control by asking me to help my sister and her- whatever Dev is to her to help them financially," I say and Ananya looked at me worried.

"Don't worry Siya, I'm sure your dad won't say that, I mean he might know what kind of guy Dev is, I'm sure he'll understand," Ananya says and I shake my head.

"He knows how Dev is, but what about Riya? He would want to help her, I have no problem with Dad helping her, I just don't want it to indirectly help Dev in any way," I say as she nods and my phone buzzes, Ananya excuses herself as I pick up the call from Amyra.

"Hey, I asked you to be here, why aren't you here yet?" I straight away asked Amyra and heard a groan.

"God Siya, I wanted to be there, but blame my egoistic and arrogant boss, who gave me loads of work at the very end and now I'm still in the office busy-"

"Come on Amyra, this was such a big day for me, I've told you just leave the company if that stupid boss is torturing you so much, I'm sure you'll get the next job easily, and even if you don't I will hire you and pay you double the money your stupid boss is paying you," I say frustrated.
