Dante.
"Well, you aren't one to be making demands when your life is at risk," I spat! Yes, I was pissed. (Y/n) knew to keep away from people. She did well for about 14 years. Why does she start now? "You know we're both going to be killed. I'm too young to die," I say. "Well keep Gene at bay and I'll keep quiet." I sigh. There's was no reasoning with this girl. She was just too delusional! Imma has to talk to (Y/n). I can tell her to stay away. (Y/n) listens to me. Even though I'm one year younger than her. She'll listen because she knows it's for her own good. "Okay, nice chat Katelyn. Don't be out after dark." I go and sigh. Damn it! I have no clue where (Y/n) is. And I really don't need to go on a scavenger hunt right now. Think Dante. (Y/n) likes park. Open spaces where lots of people are at. Plus she likes to abandon buildings or restaurants. I head to the park closest to me. There I scan the area for someone who doesn't belong. Bingo. "Hey wait up," I called. (Y/n) turns around and stops. I run to her. "Why are you out and about," I hiss? "Glad to see you too Dante," (Y/n) says rolling her eyes. "I'm serious. Gene is on your back now," I say. (Y/n) shrugs and looks at the sky. "It isn't like he hasn't been before. And anyway I'm leaving soon," (Y/n) says. "You can't leave. You know I can't handle Gene for too long. He's supposed to come to visit and you know he's going to throw a fit. And Katelyn is in danger," I whisper. (Y/n) goes tense. Looking more alert now. "Katelyn is in danger," (Y/n) asked? "Yeah. Gene wants to kill her. No witnesses policy. But I'm holding him back for now," I say. "Fine, I won't leave. But you owe me, Dante," (Y/n) says. "Hey, you owe me! I saved you!" "Yeah. Yeah. Imma run. See you." (Y/n) runs off. I sigh and go home. Gene is waiting for me. I swallow my fear. He can't hurt me, right? I'm an adult. "Hi Gene," I say. "Don't Hi Gene me," he growls. The annoyance and anger on his face. I open the door and walked inside. Gene closed the door behind us. And then it was yelling. And me getting lectured.
Travis.
I walked to my house to hear yelling. That's strange. My house was probably the quietest one on the block. I opened the door and everything stops. Gene and Dante are there. Dante is beaten pretty badly and Gene is glaring at him. "Hi, Travis." "Dante what happened to you," I asked?! "Just a fight." Gene brushed by me. Not saying a word. Well, that isn't strange. Dante stays quiet. His arms crossed and his eyes staring at the door.
Katelyn.
Kawaii-Chan has finally gotten better over the sickness. Finally. I can't stand to cater to her needs again. Now we're out shopping with Aphmau. I'm constantly looking over my shoulder. Aphmau seemed to forget what has happened. She chats happily with Kawaii-Chan. About anything in particular. I'm forced to try on like 15 pairs of dresses and skirts. While Kawaii-Chan goes into the dressing room, Aphmau goes through many other sections. "Hey, Katelyn. So um, me and Aaron is going on a date. And we have no one to watch Celestia. Can you please watch her?!" "Yeah sure," I mumble. She really did forget. That's strange. I wondered what happened. How did she forget almost dying? Well, I'm certainly not going to remind her. "Great! Thanks!" We go back to Kawaii-Chan and soon I find myself at my house. (Y/n) is there. "Decided to come by?" "What are you up to," (Y/n) asked? She acted like we were friends. "Nothing. I have to watch my friend's dog tonight," I say. Her eyes glance around before landing on me again. "Nice. Anyway, I was just checking up on ya." I notice her ears and tail were hidden now. Hmm were they always like that? "Why?" "A favor for someone. I owe them," (Y/n) says. "Oh. Well, I'm going out late. So feel free to stop by if you like," I say. "I'll keep in touch probably. I got things I need to do." "You don't exactly seem busy," I point out. "Not in the sense. Let's skip the small talk. How is your friend?" "Fine. She doesn't seem to remember anything," I say. "The amulet worked." "Wait what?!" "My amulet has different effects. It wiped her memory of the incident. I did her a favor," (Y/n) says. "I guess. Anyway, I was wondering. You seem to be able to take those men out quickly. And without hesitation. You could teach me," I say. Just because I don't want to have to need (Y/n) around anymore. I like to defend myself and not feel weak. (Y/n) shrugs. Her lips twitch again. But a frown is always present. "If you want Blue. We can tomorrow in the woods. They don't go there because of wild animals," (Y/n) says. "Isn't it blocked off," I asked? "Just meet me at the park. I'll help you get in," (Y/n) says. "Alright. See you then."
(Y/n).
I clicked my tongue as I look at the rows and rows of books. There were thousands of them here. My favorite past time. (Sorry if you don't like reading) I pulled out a book on guns. I figured I can learn their type of guns before the next hit. That way I know what I'm dealing with. I flip through pages and pages. Pulling out multiple books at a time. "Do you need help Deary," a voice asked? I look up to see the librarian. "Ah, no thank you, ma'am. I'm just browsing," I say. "Well if you need help let me know." I nod and go back to my research.
