The date had to be late at night. That's when the stars are the brightest. And the clouds swirl around making dark shades of blue and purple. I knocked on Katelyn's down. I felt underdressed. And inexperienced. Katelyn was dressed nicely. She had black jeans, a light blue shirt, long brown boots, a white scarf, and blue jewelry. "I told you to not dress up," I taunt. Katelyn blushed. "I didn't. I mean I didn't mean to. My friend did this," Katelyn says. "Well, you look great. Or nice. Or pretty. I really don't know how to do this," I explained. Katelyn laughed. Grabbing my hand. "So where are we going," Katelyn said. "It's a surprise," I tell the girl.
Katelyn.
The place (Y/n) took me was worn down. The building creaked and moaned under our weight. It wasn't what I expected. But with (Y/n) it was always a surprise. I'm not sure if it was good or not. She brought me to a place with an open roof. The stars shone brightly here. With clouds swarming in. It was beautiful. "This is where you stay," I asked? "Yeah. It isn't much but the night sky calms me," (Y/n) says. I smile. She was just way too cute. I felt like I was stepping into another world. One where (Y/n) could be sincere. Where she can finally let her guard down. "What have you been up to during those months," I asked? We were laying on the worn boards. Somehow they held us both up. "Well for the most part keeping an eye on you. Dante visit as much as his annoying little heart wanted. And I went back to some memories," (Y/n) says. "Do you have any happy memories? Ones that I can see," I asked? "Mhmm, maybe one day. But right now we have more important things to do," (Y/n) says. (Y/n) gets up and pulls me along with her. By the wall are two candles and a bar of chocolate. "You will think you did this before," I teased. "Oh no. This is no ordinary dinner." There was this mischief glint in her eyes. A shiver goes through my body. "It's a game." "What kind of game involves candles and chocolate," I asked? "Whoever's chocolate melts first loses. Don't worry you won't get burned during this game," (Y/n) says touching her amulet. Gloves appear on our hands. "Okay. Any twists," I asked? "No. Just don't let your chocolate melts." But that glint is still in her eyes. Oh, Irene help me. What did I just get into? With another touch if (Y/n)'s amulet and our candles are lit. As I hold my chocolate over the hot fire, silence falls between us. "How did you know Remedy," I asked? I didn't want to bring it up. But the thought was gnawing away at me. (Y/n) grew tense. "I u-." "If we're going to do this then we're going to have to be trusting with the other and honest." "Well if you let me speak," (Y/n) says laughing. I laughed. "She was my roommate in that army base. We never got along with each other and Gene rivaled us against each other. I haven't seen her since I left the place. That's why I had to get away from you. If I could get away maybe she would leave you alone. But that didn't work obviously," (Y/n) says. "Well, you came when it matters," I say. "I guess. I want to ask a question next." That's how the time went. We passed jokes and laughed. Forgetting all about the chocolate melting in our hands until the warm liquid comes out. "I guess nobody won," (Y/n) says taking out two more. "Do you just store up chocolate bars," I asked? (Y/n) grinned. "Who doesn't store chocolate bars," she asked? I wipe my hands with a napkin. "Do you make wishes over here," I asked? "No. I look up at the sky and I throw my worries away. It's the best thing to do before going to sleep," (Y/n) says.

I looked at the girl curl into me. She was beautiful really. I couldn't ask for more. It was really late now. Or early. Whatever. I gently shook Katelyn's shoulder. "Blue it's time to go," I whisper. Katelyn groaned but opened her blue eyes open. "It's time to go," I say. "Not yet," Katelyn mumbles reaching up. We're close. A little too close. I could feel her breath hit my lips. And smell the chocolate still lingering. She closed the space and her pale lips met mine. A shiver ran through my body as I kissed back. My face felt on fire. I knew I was blushing like crazy. There's a different feeling going through my body. I never wanted it to go away. I entangled my hands into her soft hair; kissing the girl back with just as much passion as she was giving. Katelyn pulled back and smiled. "That's how to end the night." We walked back to her house in the light of dawn. I smile and rock on my heels. "Night Kate." "I'll see you again right," Katelyn asked?
Katelyn
"Of course Blue," (Y/n) says. She steps forward and rubbed our noses against each other. "Night," I whispered. "And to you, my lady," (Y/n) says smiling. I blushed and watch her walk off. Then I went inside my house smiling like an idiot.
