(Y/n).
Kacy sighed. "I didn't mean to not come to you (Y/n). But I knew if I did we be in more danger," he says. "Danger? Please. Dante could hide you all he wants. You're a guy. He couldn't hide me. You had it easy," I spat. Kacy clenched his hands into fists. "I did not! Do you think it's easy hiding from every person even with help?! Well, you're wrong," Kacy says. "Do you know how hard it is to keep on the run with no one helping you? Plus fighting Gene's army too? You at least had warm places to hide and sleep. At least you had a hot meal every day," I spat. Kacy glared at me. I glared back angry. "You can't blame me for your misery. Maybe if you were a little more obed-." I was then in front of him. Grabbing his collar. "Tell me something else Mr. Sunshine. I'm not someone's lap dog. I carried the guilt of your death for years. And now you show up like you own the whole freaking world. Well, guess what. You don't. Don't expect me to be so lovey-dovey with you because you came back from the dead. Did you forget you tried to kill me yesterday," I asked in a low growl? "This is what got you in trouble, you idiot. You're always running your mouth. You have no sympathy," Kacy spat. I shove him back and laugh. "Sympathy doesn't have nothing to do with it? I wish you were really dead. Save everyone some trouble you bring along," I say. Kacy looked hurt. But I didn't care. I was hurt. I was hurt for a long time over his death. I need him to know that. "You don't mean that," Kacy said. "You don't get it. I mourned over your death. I carried the weight on my shoulders. Now, Mr. Sunshine, you walk in here like you own the place. You talk down to me. You had it easy. So yes I do wish you were still dead. It would save me these stupid emotions and me from thinking all of these unknown secrets." We were silent for a while. Staring at each other. I didn't know which of us would break first. I wondered if I should. I wonder if it would be easier for us both. But then I remind myself I can't break. I can't seem weak. "I should get going." I start to walk away but then stop. "Oh and Kacy. If you try to kill me again I'll have to do more then knock you unconscious. Better safe than sorry right?" I walk off before I hear an answer. Kate jogs over to me. Falling in line with my quick pace. "How was it," she asked? "I yelled. I almost hit him. I threatened him. How do you think," I asked? A slight edge in my voice. "Okay. It was a bad idea to go. I promise you won't ever have to again," Kate says. She takes my hand from my folded arms. I flinch at the contact. "Relax," Kate says. I try to. But my nerves are lit. "What's our plans today," I asked? "Well since you missed the party I was thinking maybe I could invite some friends. Let you meet some of the people I hang out with. If you're up to it you know," Kate says. I turn to look at her. "Sounds fun Blue."
Katelyn.
"They're coming," I say to (Y/n). Her ears were out. Showing their bright/dark (h/c). "I heard. Your conversations are loud," (Y/n) says. She leans towards me. In a much better mood than before. "Well yeah. Gene isn't coming. And Kacy isn't either. Though Dante is," I tell her. "So I'm just going to meet all of them. Learn their whole psychology over a few words. And then they go home," (Y/n) asked? There was a hint of teasing in her voice. "No. They'll stay for dinner and then go home. What do you want," I asked? (Y/n) just grinned at me before shrugging. I could have sworn there was something in her eye. But I decided to ignore it. "It's whatever you want Blue," she says. "Okay. Well, then I guess I'm making some chicken and rice. I'm not going overboard," I mutter to myself. (Y/n) sits down and watches me the whole time. She's helpful a bit. But it's nothing major. The doorbell rings just as I finished. "Not a moment too late," I say. (Y/n)'s eyes were changed. I pouted. "Why did you change your eye color," I asked? Stopping in front of her. "I wanted to. What's the matter," (Y/n) asked? I tuck a blue lock behind my ear. "Nothing. I just like your regular (e/c)," I say. (Y/n) laughs. She changes them back. They flicker and then turn back permanently. I smile. The doorbell rings again. I rush to get it. God, I forgot. It's dad and Savanna. "Come in," I say smiling. Aph is behind them with Aaron. (Y/n) stands in the doorway of the kitchen. Silently watching the scene. I smile at her. The butterflies in my stomach flutter around. "Where's the girl who got my sweet pea? I swear she is mighty lucky," dad says. (Y/n) walked into the room. Her hands in her hoodie pockets. "Hi." (Y/n)'s voice was very soft. And her ears are hidden again. "Guys this is (Y/n). (Y/n) this is Aph, my dad, and Savanna," I explain. "It's nice to meet you," Aph squeals. Making me and (Y/n) wince. "It's nice to meet you too." But (Y/n) seems tense. Her eyes drift towards me and I instantly know something is wrong. "(Y/n) come help me in the kitchen." I grab her arm and drag her there. "W-what's wrong?" "I am not trained for this Kate. I'm nervous all over," (Y/n) whispers.
