(Y/n).
I wake up to bright lights. My whole body hurts. But I guess that's going to happen when you get shot with a bunch of bullets. There was hushed talking in a corner. I shot up. Hissing. I reached for my amulet but it wasn't there. Where did my amulet go? Right. I gave it to Katelyn. Where is she? I need my amulet back. I'm unstable without it. "She isn't here," a voice says. I look to see Kacy. No one else was in the room. But I swore I heard another voice. How did he know I was looking for her? Right. He could read me like an open book. And if I took the time to I could do the same to him. But I didn't have that type of time. "They took her. Why," I asked? Kacy shrugs. "Beats me. I don't see what's so special about the human. They can't put any drugs in her," Kacy says. Right. They can't. Because it would be ugly. I saw it before. I get up. Having to place a hand on the wall. I got to get out. I got to go get Kate. I got to go. I got to go. "You're in no condition to be up. Dante said not to let you go," Kacy says. I growled at the contact of his hand on my shoulder. "I have to go. Kate might be in danger I say. "What's so special about the girl anyway? She's human. We aren't supposed to mingle with them. You know this (Y/n). You know that they die with any means possible," Kacy says. I paused. "She has my amulet," I mutter. Keeping it at that. I don't feel like having a heart to heart talk right now. Especially not with Kacy. "I know that's not it," Kacy says. I sigh and look at him. What difference will it make if I told him? "She's different from the rest. She keeps me sane. Keeps me in check. It's like a dream when I with her. She makes me feel… normal," I state looking down. Kacy nods. "Well, obviously you won't let me stop you. So go." But the world starts spinning then. I hold on to the wall tighter as everything spun inwards and out. What the hell did they put in those darts? And then I pass out.
Katelyn.
I wake up on a bed. Confused, I sit up. To be met with a thousand pairs of eyes. Whispers hung around them. Some of them were little kids. And some of them were older. I suddenly couldn't breathe. My hand goes to (Y/n)'s amulet. It lighting up blue as I touch it. "W-who are you," I asked? "We should be asking you that. Are you an orphan," one asked? "No," I state. "Madison look! She has (Y/n)'s amulet!" Everyone's eyes focus on the amulet. Their eyes are wide and full of fear. "So (Y/n) alive! She didn't die," one said softly. Then cheers began to go through. A little boy sat next to me with an older girl. "Is (Y/n) okay? You must have seen her before you got here. Is that really her amulet," the older one asked? My head spun with the questions. "Um yeah. This is really her amulet. I don't know if she's okay. Last I saw her Gene's army was shooting bullets at her," I answer. They all let out a gasped. Eyes widen now with fear. I try to steer the conversation back so I can get some answers. "Um, where am I?" "You're in section C. This was (Y/n)'s section. Before she left. We kept all her stuff. This is her bunk too. I'm Gwen and this is Mason. What's your name," Gwen asked? "I'm Katelyn," I state. The door open and everyone rushed to sit down. Hidden from view. Gene and Remedy walked in. Making my stomach flip. Gwen pulls me and Mason into a corner. "Gwen you're up! Come on and don't put up a fight this time," Gene says! Gwen slowly stood up. I watch as she goes. Fear paralyzes me again. She goes and everyone breathes again. They come around me again. "Where are they taking her," I asked? "To the labs. One of us goes every day. Yesterday it was Mason." (Y/n) told me about this. She told me that they drugged them. I don't know why I'm so surprised. "Does it hurt," I asked? "Sometimes. But not all the time. Anyway, can you tell us about (Y/n)? We missed her so much," a toddler says. I nod and settle myself down. "Um well (Y/n). Actually let's put it this way. She's an alpha protecting her pack. No one is allowed to get close without (Y/n) freaking out. And the social places aren't really her thing," I state. "How do you know (Y/n)?" A smile comes on my face. "Well, first I just helped her out. And then we became friends. And now we're dating," I state. They gasped. "(Y/n) is dating someone! That's impossible. She's so cold-hearted," one says. "Yeah, I know. But sometimes she's like a little pup. It's actually funny and cute," I say. "I wish (Y/n) came and broke us out. She promised she would. But that was years ago." I frowned. (Y/n) made promises and never kept them. Why not? And then I realize why. "She couldn't have," I state. "Why not," one asked? He was angry. "Because it wasn't easy being on the run. Gene's goons hunted for her like every day. There aren't a lot of places to hide and stuff. There's also not a lot of food. But she's coming. I know (Y/n) will. And then she'll get you out," I say. "What are we suppose to do until then?" I think about it. "(Y/n) is going to need help. Even if she doesn't want it. So until then, I'll teach you everything she has taught me about survival and you can teach me anything you learn in here," I state.
