Katelyn.
We met at the park again. But this time I was the teacher. We went into the woods like last time. And (Y/n) instantly climbed a tree. "So what are we learning," (Y/n) asked? "You're learning about the world. You see it as this tight bubble where everyone is the enemy," I say. "Everyone is the enemy. Everyone except Dante. And possibly you," (Y/n) says. "That's not how it works though. You have to make connections. More connections the more things you know." (Y/n) rolled her eyes. "Connections always die." Here again with the dying thing. "I didn't take twenty bruises for nothing! Now either you're going to sit here and listen. Or I'll just have to go get Gene," I say. (Y/n) smirks at me. Her eyes dancing with confidence. "Well, first I'll be long gone by then. And second I like the attitude. Did I get on your nerves?" I cross my arms. "No." A laugh leaves her lips. "Well, Blue. Go on ahead with your lesson." "First lesson you shouldn't shut people out. And be nicer. People like nicer people." "People use nicer people," (Y/n) scoffs. Her (e/c) eyes roll. "Most people like nice people." "And then you use them huh," (Y/n) asked? "No. You don't," I say. "Ah damn it. I thought that was what was going to be next," (Y/n) says. She swings down to face me. This isn't going to work really. She doesn't know how to be kind or polite. Everyone is an enemy. "Okay. Okay. Pretend we're in a dojo." I take out my phone and pull up a picture of Kawaii-Chan. "What do you think about this girl," I asked? (Y/n) takes a second to scan her. "She's a nice type. The one who gets bully but can also be the bullier too. She likes baking a lot and does anything to make sure her friends are happy. Mief'wa. I'm guessing that the name she gives y'all isn't her real one," (Y/n) says. My eyes widen. "You got all that with a look," I asked surprised?! "Yeah. And plus she was at your house. So I didn't really need to take a long look," (Y/n) says. "Okay how about this one?" I flip to Lucinda. (Y/n) clicks her tongue as she looks at the picture. "She's a witch definitely. She really likes to sleep. Cat and spider potions are probably her specialties. She likes hanging out sometimes. But she's mostly busy with a potion shop. She has an ex who's a wizard. He's still trying to win her back. But she's really not having it. Oh, you and she are kinda close." I gawk. "Y-you're giving me whole psychology," I say. "I just tell you what you want to hear," (Y/n) says. I quiz her on people again and again. Aaron pops up and (Y/n)'s eyes narrow. "He's hiding things I'm not allowed to speak on. He's very much anti-social. He's always watching his back. The girl with the black hair is his girlfriend. He's a good cook after all. He's good with puppies. And there's a lot of pressure from his parents with inheriting a business." "Okay. You got everything down. Now let's say the pink one is bullying the orange hair one. What do you do?" "Easy. Nothing at all," (Y/n) says. "What why?!" "Because it won't be possible. Both are too nice to actually bully anyone unless a gun is pointed at their heads. And the only thing that can happen is someone kicking them." "Do you have siblings," I asked? "Nope. I'm an orphan. I thought I told you this," (Y/n) says crossing her arms. I sigh. "Right. Well, let's pretend you do. What if Gene comes out of nowhere and starts beating on them," I asked? She didn't answer. Her eyes scanned me and her mouth was pressed into a small frown. "(Y/n)." No answer again. It was like she shut down. "I got to get going. Thanks for the lesson Blue. See ya." She started walking away. Not looking back at me or anything. There's something about (Y/n) that makes her more fascinating than the rest. It was like (Y/n) had these shutdown buttons. Ask the wrong questions and then she shut down on you. I make my way back to my house. Gene is there. "Hi, Katelyn." I barely glance his way. "So listen. You have a very valuable person I'm looking for. She's good as dead when I find her. I advise you to stay away." "Gene I don't have a clue what you're talking about and really need you to step back. Last time we spoke it wasn't too good," I say. Gene glared at me but nodded. "Good. Then see you around Katelyn."
(Y/n).
Ah, what in Irene's name was that?! How could she ask those questions?! Of course she doesn't know but still! Katelyn doesn't have to ask personal questions. I thought this was about making friends. Not digging up my past like a graveyard. I know it was a simple question. Anybody could answer it. Anyone except me. I should have just left the girl alone. Dante was right not to be bothered by Katelyn. She's a lot to handle and a lot to take. So why didn't I listen? Good question. Why didn't I? I mean Katelyn means more than an ounce of nothing to mean. I don't know her in the fact that we're besties. I can't seem to think of one good reason except for this magnet. Magnet as in a spiritual compass or something pulling me closer to her. Or making me stay here just so I can watch her over. It's not considered stalking if you're just watching out for somebody! I'm told it means you're watching them with care. But I been with a lot of stalkers before. They're all lunatics in my book. So why do I stay?

FanfictionWe sat on her couch. Cups of hot chocolate in our hands. I took a shaky breath. She was beautiful really. I wasn't sure about having a mate. But if it's her I can handle it. Because she's just what I need. "(Y/n)?" I looked at the girl. "Sorry. I uh...
