Y/n.
I shake my head at Katelyn and crossed my arms. "Oh come on (Y/n). It's lots of people and there are tons of stores to hide in. Plus it'll be fun," Katelyn reasons. "Lots of people mean Gene's goons. And I don't feel like fighting so early in the morning," I point out. I was not going to the mall. There was no way I was going to. Not with all the people and the possibility that Gene could be there. "That's why we're going to disguise you! Please (Y/n). I won't ever ask you for anything else in the whole wide world," Katelyn exclaims. Katelyn pouts and looks up at me with pleading eyes. I sigh. "Fine. We can go to the mall." Katelyn smiles. "Okay, first we got to get you changed! You can't go like that. It's noticeable!" Katelyn grabbed my hand and pulled me along. A smile on her face. Once changed I looked at myself in the mirror. She had me in a green jacket, a black Adidas shirt, and black pants. Luckily I got to keep my shoes with the outfit. I stare at myself. I looked like a different person. Katelyn fixed my beanie over my hair. "Now that's better. You okay," Katelyn asked? I shrugged. "You ready," I ask? "Yeah. Let's go." I take her hand in mine. The mall was full of sweaty people with too much cologne and perfume on. There were too many bodies in here and I couldn't stand it. Please, Irene, help me. Katelyn pulls me along with her. We go into this one shop and I follow behind. I'm not really focused so much on the clothing as the people. They come in all shapes and sizes. With each strutting in their own way. The girls cry about how fat they are and some of them stare at me. I subconsciously try to hide. Holding my flat stomach. The eyes feel unnerving. I snap my attention back to Katelyn. You just got to make it through this one trip (Y/n). You owe Katelyn anyway. You put her through a lot anyway. You can give her this little perk of freedom. "Help me. I got to find something to wear," Katelyn complains. I look around and shrug. "You're asking a girl that has to wear mostly black or camo to fit in with her surroundings. What sense do I have when it comes to fashion," I asked? Katelyn grins. "That's right you have none. I find that kinda sad," she teases. I playfully glared at her. A smile threatening to take over my lips. "Fashion is sad. Have you seen the stuff some people wear," I asked? Katelyn chuckles and we move on. To another store. Basically the whole time I follow Katelyn. Malls aren't my comfort zone. I just figure out hiding spots and ways to quickly escape. When we get out Macy's I glance up. Bad mistake. Dead ahead of us is Gene and Remedy. The noticeable bandages and smaller cuts. I grab Katelyn's hand, turning her around. "Huh?" "I saw a store I want to look in. Plus we already went to the stores over there," I explain. "Oh okay." I don't think she noticed how tense I was. We went into Pink. Katelyn giggles. "You could have picked any other store and you pick Pink. You stand out here babe. Let's go back to the hot topic," Katelyn jokes. Her eyes flick and I know she caught on. "No, I saw something in here for you. I would never shop here," I tell her. Moving us further into the store. Gene and Remedy stops. My muscles grow taut and tense. "I know you don't I?" "Oh, Katelyn." I keep my eyes blank and have my amulet change their color. "Come on babe. I really need a shirt."
Katelyn.
We go out of the store and down a while and then bolt. My heart thumped in my chest as we ducked outside and down the steps. Our hands never let go of each other. The feeling was exhilarating. (Y/n) stops us once we're far enough. "That was great acting Blue." "Thanks. Your eyes. How did you do that?" "Amulet. It allows me to change my appearance," (Y/n) says. "Your always full of surprises aren't you," I asked smiling? "Yeah, I guess." I stood on tiptoe to kiss her. The kiss was blissful. Sweet and passionate. Her arms wrapped around me securely. And I felt better. My heart pounded in my chest for a different reason. There was a flutter sensation in my stomach. When we pulled away (Y/n)'s eyes were back to their normal beautiful (e/c). She rubbed our noses together and smiled. "You got a lot of surprises too Blue. You just show the more often then I do," (Y/n) mumbles. "One of us had to."
