(Y/n).
Blood covered the ground. It covered my hands. It covered the whole freaking place. Bodies were everywhere. I staggered back. Trying to escape. What happened? Did I do this? Oh my, Irene. I didn't do this did I?! A door is opened behind me. I don't know if I made it appear or what. But I get out that room. I rush down a hallway. There's a scream. I stop short and I'm not in the hallway anymore. I'm in an alleyway. The blood is gone from my hands. I walk forward. More screaming. A little boy comes in front of me. Kacy. I stepped back. My back hitting a wall. "Why didn't you help me (Y/n)? Why did you let me die?" I shake my head. "Leave me alone." "Why didn't you (Y/n)? Wasn't I, your friend?" Kacy stepped towards me. My heart was beating rapidly. My stomach was knotting up. "Just leave me alone!"
I woke up. It was bright outside. Quiet like normal. I closed my eyes and sighed. It was a dream. It was a stupid dream that didn't mean anything. I got up and walked out of the building. A cold breeze lifted my (h/l) hair and blew it back. I kept walking. Seeing as there wasn't any threat around. Gene has been awfully quiet. Except for that incident in the mall I haven't really seen him. What is he planning? Being gone means he's planning something. I walk through the trees and into a clearing. It was still quiet. I made my way down to the park and then down Kate's street. I stopped myself at the corner. I become too acquainted. Oh, Irene help me. At first, it was a one-time thing. I cursed under my breath and went to Kate's anyway. She opened the door with a smile. Pulling me in. "I got a surprise," she says. I stare at her puzzled. From her body language, I can tell I'm going to hate it. "If we are going out again forget it," I say. "No that's not it. It's funner than that," Katelyn says. Now I'm really puzzled. Because fun doesn't necessarily come and find me. "Just listen. My dad is super overprotective. And my friend is throwing a party." "I just said anywhere public we can forget about it," I point out leaning against a wall. "But (Y/n/n) come on. It's not like it's going to be the mall with a thousand people," Katelyn reasons. "I'm assuming everyone you know, knows Gene. And that being said that means he'll probably be there. Putting both of us in danger along with many other innocent people," I say. Katelyn pouts. "Yeah, but he won't do anything. Drawing attention isn't his forte." I sigh. I wish she knew more. I wish she would just give it way. Pinching the bridge of my nose I close my eyes. "Why do I let you talk me into such ridiculous ideas," I asked? "Because I'm very persuasive."
Katelyn.
(Y/n) rocks on the back of her heels. She keeps glancing around like something is going to attack us. The party was just across the street. "(Y/n) nothing is going to get us. I mean come on. It's across the street," I say. "Don't matter." A blue blur past by us. (Y/n) growled. "You jinxed us Blue." "Well, how was I supposed to know," I asked? (Y/n) flashed me a smile. Touching her amulet. Another bullet. It stings my shoulder and I wince. (Y/n) grabs my hand and we run down the street. Blood trickled down my arm and I begin to feel dizzy. Once hidden (Y/n) check my shoulder. She takes off her hoodie and rips it. I still have her other one in my closet. I should probably give it back but I forgot. "You'll be fine Blue. It barely grazed your shoulder," (Y/n) says. "Thanks," I mumbled. (Y/n) shakes her head. I hear the click of a gun. My eyes widen but (Y/n) doesn't move. Her amulet glows (f/c). The gun goes off but the bullet doesn't hit us. It bounces off a force field or something like that. (Y/n) keeps working on my wound. "You aren't going to do anything," I asked? "He doesn't have all the bullets in the world. Pretty soon he'll run out and I'll knock him unconscious or something. You shouldn't always just run in headfirst." I smile. "There's another lesson for me." (Y/n) nodded. Soon the shooting stopped and (Y/n) stood up. Then he shot again. The bullet flew past us and into a tree. Then I realized something. He wasn't aiming at us. He was aiming at the amulet. What is so special about that amulet? The guy is knocked dead. (Y/n) stares at him as she holds her amulet. I stand up and walk to her. "What is so special about that amulet? Why was he shooting at it," I asked? (Y/n) didn't say anything. And I didn't expect to get an answer. I wonder why she was staring at this guy. Slowly she crouched down and checked for a pulse. When (Y/n) was satisfied she stood up and nodded. "My amulet is the whole reason why Gene wants me. It's... Special in a way," she mumbles. "Why?" (Y/n) sighs. "Guess I got to tell you."
