Steve leaned in close to your face his eyes glimmered. "Though if you're up for it, I'd love to be with you on real terms." His breath gently fanned my lips before they were met by Steve's. My face heated up and I couldn't calm my heart. I slowly pulled away unsure of what to do in the situation. I liked him but I also liked Bucky. Steve smiled sweetly. "You realize you don't have to push yourself to make a decision right now." The response almost made it seem as if he could have read my thoughts. He pulled me to lay down with him and began reading the book aloud. I began to feel the room chill and instinctually cuddled into Steve's side. By the time I realized what I had done and was about to move back he turned to me and held me in his gentle yet firm grip. His voice smoothly pulling the words from the page. Even though it was still early in the morning I couldn't help but begin to drift to sleep. I attempted to fight the urge but the combinations of my satisfied senses pulled me under.

Steve's POV

I could feel her start to pull toward me and I noticed that the room was getting colder. I figured she must be getting cold. I turned on my side and pulled her into my chest. I still managed to hold the book over her and continued reading quietly into her ear. I could feel my heart racing but I managed to keep my composure and kept reading. About 15 minutes into reading I started to fall asleep. I marked my page and set the book down. I noticed that (y/n) had already fallen asleep. I pulled the blanket over us and fell asleep with her in my arms. If only I knew things could stay this way. After all, I knew she cared for Bucky and he had interest in her. Maybe I could win her back. My thoughts scurried for importance as I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Your POV

I woke up a few hours later, my head was spinning and I couldn't remember what had happened. I looked up to see Steve smiling down at me. His hair was a mess, but it was quite an attractive look for him. His hand brushed through my hair. "We should probably get up." His voice made it seem as though he just woke up. I bet his actual morning voice was even better. I nodded and got up adjusting my outfit in the mirror. I thought about how I didn't deserve to be a part of the royal family. Again, he seemed to have read my thoughts and came up behind me wrapping his arms around me. "You know you were meant to be here. This is what you deserve." I blushed deeply and covered my face in embarrassment.

We left the room and as we were walking we happened to pass by Wanda. "Hey, (y/n) I need to talk to you." Her voice was strained but it seemed like she was holding back excitement. I motioned for Steve to go on without me. "Oh my goodness! I can't believe you're in a relationship with STEVE ROGERS!" Her excitement startled me. "Oh um yeah..." I didn't know how to say it. I was in a relationship with Steve, but I never actually put any thought to it. I actually have a prince who is interested in me. I have TWO princes interested in me. "I am so proud of you! Don't forget me when you glow up." I laughed as she teased. "Oh stop." She gave me a high five and i went on my way. I ran and caught up to steve where he was waiting for me. "The king and queen say that today they have made sure there's nothing for us to do so we can get to know each other better."

The way he was looking at me made my heart pound. I was excitedly walking at his side leading him down to the garden when he started asking me questions. "So what are you interested in?" "I like reading, and I may not be the best at it but writing and sketching are hobbies of mine." He smiled seeming satisfied with my answer but something seemed to catch his eye. "Is that why you have a small notepad with you at all times?" He pointed to the small bag on you hip that I forgot to zip up. The open bag displayed a notepad and an array of pencils. I pulled out the booklet and opened to the most recent sketch, a rose drawn with a rainbow of color. "That's amazing." He seemed astonished at my skill. I decided that since we were already in the garden I would take him to the flower I was drawing. I handed him the booklet so that he could look through it. He stumbled upon a picture that seemed to shock him. He handed the booked back to me. "Who were you drawing?" he held back laughter as you looked at one of your more humorous drawings. It was a nondescript person complaining about how everything was someone else's fault. I laughed.
