Chapter 21

Three years have passed ever since Naruto was declared as a Missing Ninja, in the three years Team Seven gained three additional members to their team and their new members were Menma, Mito and Sai.

Much to Sasuke's dislikeness he had no other choice but to agree to the transfer of Menma and Mito to their team. Sai on the hand, Sasuke in general hated him.

Another addition was Kurama, in his adorable chibi form. Sakura has been taking care of the Kyuubi ever since Kakashi came knocking on her door telling her the bad news.

Kurama explained to her that Naruto summoned him and sent him away, saying that he had no need for him. Naruto placed a seal on Naruto that prevented him from returning.

Yamato who is currently leading Team Seven, a mere replacement for Kakashi Hatake who was injured in their last mission, he ran with the group to Orochimaru's hideout.

Sasuke could barely keep up, after being heavily injured by Orochimaru. Originally their mission was to find out who the Akatsuki spy was and get out as much information as they could, but soon ran into trouble.

With that trouble, Sai went with Orochimaru to fulfill his true mission. "We're here." Yamato announced. The group stood in a desert, he summoned wood clones and transformed them into pills.

"Take these, with these I'll be able to track you, like Sai." Yamato said. The group nodded and took one each, they all swallowed them before entering the hideout.

After a short while they arrived at a dead end, "it's a dead end?!" Menma exclaimed and Sasuke sighed in irritation. Someone kill me now. He thought.

"It's just rock, on the other side should be a hallway." Yamato explained and used his wood Jutsu to slowly break the wall. "Alright, let's look for Sai first, then we'll go after Naruto."

Sasuke nodded, agreeing to Yamato's deal. The team followed Yamatos lead, and soon arrived at a room. Here. Yamato thought and his finger sprouted wood and slowly formed into a key.

"Hello, Sai." Yamato said opening the door. Sai turned around shocked, but then his usual smile formed and Sasuke let out a 'tch'.

"You shit! Why did you betray us?!" Menma exclaimed grabbing Sai by his clothes.

"You shouldn't be making such a racquet, it'll mean nothing but trouble." Sai said and Menma was just about ready to punch his lights out when Sasuke pulled Menma away from Sai.

"That's enough. Now Sai, are you still going to continue with your mission?" Sasuke asked.

Sai did nothing but smile, "my mission has already ended as a failure when you found me." Sai answered and Sasuke eyed the blackette before he shrugged it off.

"Here you dropped this." Sakura said and handed the picutre book back to Sai who took it muttering a 'thank you'.

"Is that all you're going to say?!" Mito growled and Sasuke sent her a glare that immediately shut her banshee mouth up.

"Talk." Yamato demanded pointing a kunai at the blackette.

"My mission is to merely approach Orochimaru and tell him of our plans," Sai explained, "I'm also a spy, I am to pass information on Orochimaru to Danzo-sama."

"What?" Sasuke asked and clenched his fists trying to keep calm and collective composure. "Yamato-sensei, we should get going, we'll question this guy after we find and get Naruto."

Yamato sighed, "alright." He agreed and put his kunai away.

Suddenly the door burst open to reveal Kabuto. Sasuke tripped him, but Kabuto broke his fall and kicked Yamato away and took out a kunai.
