How My World Changed Forever...Again

One Day, Thousands of Moments

Colleen's POV
I wake up and look at my phone; 8:30. I find myself immediately going to check on the girls. I peak in and see Annie already awake on her phone. I slowly walk in, and she looks up and says, "Hey."
"Hey, Annie. How'd you sleep?"
"Okay."
I sit down next to Hayley who is still asleep. I run my hand through her hair and mutter under my breath, "So precious."
She moves her hands up to her eyes, rubs them, and then opens her eyes slowly. "Hey Hayley," I say quietly.
She smiles a little.
After a few more minutes of sitting with the girls, I say, "anyone wants breakfast?"
With that, Hayley is out of the bed and much more awake.
We all three walk downstairs. The girls sit at the bar stools. I say, "I have cereal, cheerios, frozen pancakes, bread for toast, pretty much anything."
Hayley says, "Can I please have frozen pancakes?"
"Of course!"
Annie decides on cereal. I finish fixing breakfast as Rachel comes downstairs.
We all sit around te island, talking as the girls eat. When they're done, I say as I put their dishes in the dishwasher, "Do either of you want to shower? I will not judge if you for by the way."
Annie says, "I do."
"So do I," Hayley says.
I take them upstairs back up to the bedroom they slept in. They sit on the bed and I go in the bathroom to try to get my crap out of the shower. "Jesus Christ," I mutter under my breath, disgusted by my own slob.
I find some shampoo, conditioner, and body wash under the sink. I grab two towels and two washcloths and leave them in the bathroom for the girls. When I'm finished, I say, "Okay, everything is ready. I only ask that you please do not lock the door when you go in there and the other of you, please stay in the room while your sister is in the shower. I got word from your mom that you're supposed to do school...so maybe do that while you're waiting."
They both groan at this request.
     I say, "Also, your mom told me that you guys need to vlog and export the footage to them...?  She told me Annie knew how to do that.  Is that correct?"
     "Yeah, I can do that.  And yes we will continue to vlog." Annie says.
     "K, cool.  Your mom told me that they'd film a clip just saying how you're staying here. Also, she said that you can send the footage the day after you film it."
     I leave the room as Annie prepares to shower.

Hayley's POV
Annie is going to get in the shower. I'm sitting on our bed with my school backpack. I've never had to do school without Mommy or Daddy. I can do it myself but I usually need help. I click on my first check mark assignment for a week of Language. That's what I'm best at. I read some stuff, write some stuff, and before I know it, I have two green checkmarks, and it's my turn to get in the shower. Annie walks out wearing black lululemon leggings and this sweatshirt that we got from a fan in our PO box.

     When I'm done, Annie helps me squeeze the water out of my hair with my towel.  She also runs my brush through it.  I'm wearing this shirt that probably used to be Annie's.
