Rachel's POV
I'm sitting on Colleen's floor helping her pack up for Canada.  Hayley is on the bed chilling with us.
"So," Colleen says, "do you know why Erik is taking me to Canada?"
     "No." I lie.
I do know.  I've known for months.  Colleen is gonna be over the moon.
"Do you have everything you need?" I ask, changing the subject.
"A few days worth of clothes, shoes, toiletries, and pre natals.  I think that's pretty much it," she lists back to me.
"Don't forget all your chargers and electronics."
"Yeah, that'll all go in my backpack, which is...oh!  I think it's in the closet.  Hay, can you go grab the backpack that's right inside my closet please?"
Hayley gets up off the bed and goes in the closet.  When she comes back, she's carrying a purple backpack of Colleen's.  "Oh," Colleen says, "I, I didn't mean that one, but that's fine.  I haven't used this in a while.  Where was it?"
"Oh, it was just sitting on the shelf in there, right inside the door.  I didn't see any other ones.  You want me to go get a different one?"
"No!  This is fine.  I think, I think there's still some crap in here.  I haven't seen this thing in years!"
Colleen opens up the big pocket and finds nothing much.  In the smaller pocket she pulls out tampons and says laughing, "won't be needing these!"
I shoot her a glance.  Hayley's just a kid.  But to my surprise, she giggles awkwardly.  I mean, she is 10 I guess.
From one of the mesh side pockets, Colleen pulls out some balled up pieces of paper.  She unfolds them and stares down at her hands.  "Oh my god." She whispers under her breath.  "Oh my god." Repeating herself.
"What?" I ask quietly looking over her shoulder and brushing her hand.
I read the words off the page, absolutely shocked.  "How long have those been in there?"
She shakes her head.  "I don't know.  They're from a tour...when he was with me.
In her hands, she hold two little notes from Joshua.  I know Colleen is absolutely in love with Erik.  She doesn't in any way, shape, or form have feelings for Josh.  It's just, it has to be hard.  I can't imagine.
     Hayley sits up concerned.  "What?"
"Nothing," Colleen says, balling up the notes again, "it's just, nothing,"
Colleen shoves the notes in my hands and goes back to the closet, coming out with a different backpack.
     "Okay.  I'm ready."

Colleen's POV
The whole plane ride, all I do is bug Erik about what's going on.  When we finally land, we go straight to the car rental place.  We didn't check any bags since it's such a short trip.  We don't usually rent cars when we go places and use über instead but this time, Erik is insistent on having our own mode of transportation. "Babe, what are we doing here?!" I ask impatiently, once again.
"You'll have to wait and see..." Erik says mysteriously.
We drop our stuff at the hotel and go grab an early dinner at a cute little dinner place.  Still no sign of the Haters Back Off cast though in still pretty sure that's what the surprise is. They might just be coming tomorrow or something.
When we get back to the hotel, I tell Erik that I need to give Katie [Leblanc] a call.  I did watch the Donnelleys vlog from yesterday and I'm dying to know if everything went okay, since yesterday would've been the actual day Katie went in for surgery.  I take a seat on the bed in our room while Erik hops in the shower.  Katie answers the phone.
K: "Hey, Colleen. Is everything okay?"
C: "Everything's fine. I mean, I would assume it is. You know, im in Canada right now. Anyway, I know you're super busy, but I just wanted to call real quick. I know yesterday would've been the surgery. You'll probably tell me to enjoy my vacation, but, listen, I can't until I know that that little girl is okay."
K: "the surgery went really well. They think they were able to remove the tumor in its entirety. Within a couple days, she'll go in for an MRI. She had lost a lot of walking movement, but nothing got worse. Fully alert, talking, and smiling. And you're right, I'm going to tell you to enjoy your time away. I also don't want you to be stressing. How's the baby been?"
C: "way better. I feel really good and am even getting some energy back. Some food still makes me wanna throw up, but that's expected. I am also emotional beyond description. I guess that's what happens when your estrogen levels triple."
K: "oh my god, I remember the feeling. When I was pregnant with...Annie I think, if someone did as much as look at me the wrong way, I'd burst into tears."
C: "I know!  It's the worst!"
We talk for another minute or so then I let her go. I know Katie is super busy right now, and I need to be spending time with Erik.
When Erik gets out of the bathroom, he asks, "you feeling okay? Can I get you anything?"
"I feel good. I'm okay right now."
"That's good," he says, sitting down next to me, "do you wanna go walk around outside a little bit? Or would you rather just lay around here? Whatever your up for."
He's literally my favorite. He treats me like a princess and always asks if I'm okay. "I could go for a walk. I feel like I've been sitting all day, so some exercise would probably be good.  Thanks baby," I say smiling.
     "For what?"
     "Everything."

A/N sorry for the lame chapter.  The next one will be better, I promise.
