Geez

"So, how was it?" I ask, shoving some pizza into my mouth, unlike most schools, this school cafeteria was the best since it always bought the food from restaurants.

Ani and Andi shared a glance, as if having a silent conversation with their eyes.

"Cool" Ani and Andi lied swiftly

"What happened?" I immediately asked, knowing them too well to accept their lies.

"I said it was fine" Ani snapped

"Geez" I muttered

"We fought over a pencil" Ani said in response to my look.

The school cafeteria was big, since both Primary, middle and high school students where mixed it lead to the schools building being castle-like, though it was 'advised' we don't talk or mix with any of the others.

Me and the twins where sitting on the table at the back of the cafeteria, it was good enough though a group of young students about Ani and Andi's age, consisting of three boys and a girl sat near and kept sending the twins nasty looks.

In which me, in all my high school glory, scared them off with a glare.

Wow, scaring children, your really accomplishing a lot of things in your life, how about I clap?

"Can they just stop?" Andi spat, looking more angry than I've ever seen him.

"Yeah, how about we go and ask politely this time" Ani snorted

Feeling a little awkward because I was "twin wheeling" again, I continued shoving endless amounts of food in my mouth.

"Politely? Seriously? Next you'll draw a picture of us holding hands with a rainbow over our heads, Ani we're not three" Said Andi, Keeping his gaze on the girl.

Andi frowned, and bit his tongue, gaze not even filtering.

He and she made eye contact.

Ani fell into a fit of giggles, leaving both me and Andi to stare at her in confusion.

"I think someone has a tiny crush" she giggled

"What?" Andi Said while I bit my lip to stop laughter from escaping.

"You won't stop looking at her, you've been talking about her since first period, and that look!" Ani held her stomach, attempting to fall out of her new giggling fit.

"Yeah, and why is that I wonder?" Andi paused dramatically. "Because she's a big fat jerk!"

"And the boys where big fat extremely ugly despicable jerks, but do you see me going all goo goo eyed over them? Nu-uh-uh" Said Ani

Mental note: Ani knows way to many insults

Andi groaned and stretched. "I give up on you" He muttered

Ani gave him a little pout.

"Sup"

"Poof!" I said loudly, making rather overdramatic gestures and ducking under the table, showing him reasonably clearly that his presence was the least welcome.

He rolled his eyes and sat down.

"Do we get expelled if we accidentally murder someone" Ani said, quite disturbingly, having a staring match with the girl on the other table.

"Great, you two are going to be deathly enemies by the end- since the beginning of the year" said Andi

"I'm sorry for not giving you up then" said Ani

I kept my gaze on Mars, who was loudly and obnoxiously chewing gum, and by the wafting smell of his breath, it was minty burst.

"So, about your little supreme freind"

Someone's jealous

"Who?" I said rolling my eyes, the bell rang somewhere distant, and I mentally sighed.

"Don't play dumb with m-"

"Well we'd more than love to stay and watch you two be late for class, but I need to be as far away from that dumb jerk as possible, so bye bye"  Ani grabbed Andi's hand and pulled him away.

Quickly, I stood up and followed them out, knowing well enough that they don't know what class they have or where it is.

...

I stopd crouching in the doorway, motionless, as my parents voices rang in my ears, leaving me petrified.

"I'm hungry"  Said my father

"I haven't heard you say that for a damn long time"  said my mother

There was a pause, none of them spoke.

"I know what your hungry for... but who will it be?" Said my mother finally

"I don't know, the kids don't have enough on them yet, and we could earn a lot if we wait a little from them, but while we wait I crave someone"

My heart hammered against my chest, confusion leaving traces on my brain, but the only theory my six year old mind could think of was the most childish.

They want to eat me.

"We could eat the boy?" My mother suggested, and I had to hold back a breathless gasp.

"No" said my father "he's not fat enough yet, and the plus side to keeping them is their services, something we shouldn't give up just yet"

My mother cackled, reminding me of the scary witch that gave me nightmares years prier.

"We'll get a random person, agreed?"

"Kay' " said my father, and I panicked.

footsteps.

I should call the police, any person with a brain would do it, but...

But...

AH

pain...

i recoiled and rotated to look at my mother, who had kicked me hard on my back.

I burst into frightened tears.

"Get up you worthless piece of scum!" She shouted, and I struggled to get up with her leg, which was on my shoulder, holding me down.

I wanted to call for Amet, but he couldn't do anything..

Nothing would work.

I sharply sat up, snapping out of the cruel dream that was reality, yet still I wasn't doing anything, I could still do something, tell the police, the useless police who didn't even care about my brothers disappearance from society.

His death.

Realizing I had fallen asleep in class, I looked back up to the teacher, concluded I won't understand anything anyway, and went back to sketching on the table, slash what I was doing before I fell asleep.

Encase any of you are wondering why I didn't update, I was more or less extremely busy, and I didn't have the time to write
