Heartless

I frowned, as Dariel tugged me out of the restaurant after Sirius. Behind us Jaime walked calmly with one EarPod in his ear.

"Where are we going?" I asked uncertainly.

"If you bring her anywhere dangerous you know that Jordan will kill you right?" Said Jaime wryly.

"Jordan can back off," Sirius said darkly.

"And Jordan is...?" I questioned, looking back and forth from Dariel, Jaime and Sirius.

Nobody replied.

"What's happening exactly?" I asked hesitantly.

And again, I was greeted by my dearest old freind; silence.

"I have a brother," I said threateningly. "Two brothers and a sister," I added.

I heard Jaime chuckle from behind us. And Dariel pinched my cheeks again, cooing.

"I'm not a child," I murmured, flustered.

Sirius called the taxi form the parking lot. I looked at Dariel in confusion and he smiled.

"He's a driver, why else do you think we where already in the car?"

Jaime jumped into the back seat and I followed his suit, not wanting to be in the middle of Dariel and Sirius again.

I popped my head from behind the seats.

"Hey? Can you take out my sketchbook and a pencil from my bag and hand it over,"

"Mmm," mumbled Dariel, unzipping my back and taking out a large sketchbook and my favorite mechanical pencil.

He handed it over and I started sketching the basics of a face. Something I wanted to practice and get better at. I wasn't that good and my lines where slightly wobbly, but I could get better if I tried.

The car came quickly to a halt, and I stared at a large mansion in shock.

"Why'd you come to the hideout?" Jaime asked him.

"Because we gonna need somewhere to stay," Sirius said, jumping out of the car.

"And Jordan?" Dariel asked, his eyebrows arching.

"I'll crash his face onto the floor until his nose smashes,"

I edged closer to Jaime.

"You're scaring her," both Jaime and Dariel said in union.

"I'm not," Sirius said instinctively, then he realized what he said. "I couldn't do that anyway... he's much older then me..." he added defensively.

I was still pretty scared and kept close to jaime, feeling the safest with him. I didn't know if it was because he was the oldest or just because he was the calmest or some other reason, by this point I'd learned to follow my heart and instincts.

We walked right past the mansion and into a narrow gap between another building, then he stopped at a rusty old door.

"Marshmallow and pineapple pudding with a side of French fries," Sirius whispered into the door.

I looked at Jaime and then looked back and Sirius, understanding nothing.

The door opened mechanically, but behind it was another door.

"Suger, Jelly and Doritos with a side of French fries,"

The second door opened automatically, but again, there was a third door behind it.

Sirius rolled his eyes. "C'mon! Just open up already,"

"Who's the French fries?" Asked a voice.
