(Evelyn's POV)

I coughed, sweating.

Of course, of course... how did I not guess? HOW?

"Don't hurt her!" Amet begged

I screamed, falling to the floor in pain. No... NO!

Tears streamed down Amet's young face, and my fathers foot held me down. I coughed... blood...

"Tie her up," my fathers voice ordered Amet strictly. "Quite a shame... such a shame. She tried to tell the police of all people! At least we'll have a food stock for a while... she's pretty skinny, so she wouldn't last long,"

My eyes snapped open, my heart rapidly beating against my chest... I was sweating.

I lent my head against the car's window, holding back a cough, nightmarish images flashing through my brain. I was not OK... I was not at all OK.

I calmed myself down, letting tears spill. I was lucky I stayed in the car, the others should take some time, I would be alone.

Accidentally, I pushed the button with my elbow and the cars window moved down.

I didn't even bother to put it up, crying to myself.

I looked up against my own will, to see a blonde guy.

"Your boyfriend left you? Cheated?"

"Leave her alone, taioko," another guy game from behind him, he had shaggy black hair that was wild and a neutral expression etched on his face.

"Yeah Taco, Leave her alone," another guy walked up, he had olive colored skin and messy brown hair, his shirt was ripped noticeably, I had the urge to question it but said nothing.

"Don't call me Taco, " the blonde guy muttered, his eyes where a water blue, and they seemed to twinkle.

I lay back in my chair, thinking of how red my cheeks and nose are right now, my eyes where still streaming a lake of glistening tears, and my heart beat harder against my chest.

"You're a beautiful crier," Commented Taioko. "Do you want me to beat him up for you?"

I stared up at him from the car seat, gathering myself.

"Evelyn! Mars insisted we buy you ice cream too!"

The twins began to race each other to the car but stopped when they saw the boys.

I was mortified at how fast Andi went from innocent to deadly.
