Ani accidentally pricked her finger on one of the roses thrones, but ignored Andi entirely.

"Ani, I'm sorry, I'm so so so so really sorry! I've never regretted something so much in my entire life! Even if I'm not altogether thoroughly sure what I did, anything I did that could've possibly had the outcome it had must've been bad-"

Ani traced the roses petal with her finger, than she turned to a slightly wilted rose, she picked it, then attempted to cut of the thrones, getting more cuts by each attempt.

Andi sent me a quick look, I couldn't really understand his expression, he slowly walked to Ani and crouched beside her, softly but strongly taking the rose out of her hand, and placing it gently on the floor, he put his hand on her wrist to avoid holding her hand and adding pain to the cuts, and helped her to the waterfall, he took two handfuls of water and washed away the blood, took a tissue out of his pocket, and dried her hand, leaving nothing but scars.

Ani looked simply tired, as if she wasn't the one to attempt to cheer me up, as if she hadn't just cried, it was a side I hadn't seen before, slowly the realization that I hardly know the twins creeped onto me, that I hardly knew more than a quarter of their personalities, but who am I to know if it's fake or not?

'Oh I dunno, maybe you're their great great grandma's uncle's daughter or something?' Replied the voice in my head sarcastically

I spent a whole minute, not paying attention to anything else, but trying to figure out what "great great grandma's uncle's daughter" was.

Forcing my brain to think of more important things, like why old people get wrinkly and young babies are soft, I looked back at the twins, who where quietly conversing, me being nosy, really really wanted to know what they're talking about.

"If it's because of the jerk faces I swear i will make sure they-" Said Andi loudy.

"One more time for the people in the back, boy" muttered Ani under her breath.

"I'm not a boy!" said Andi, as if expecting an insult, then just looking perplexed while Ani giggled quietly.

"I am a boy" said Andi, crossing his arms and pouting. "It's not my fault you tricked me!"

"Technically it is your fault for falling for the trick but... yeah" said Ani

I couldn't help but frown at the level of words Ani knew, she's six... right?

"EVELYN, YOU DO REALIZE WHAT TIME IT IS?" Mars shouted from the house, enough to wake our neighbors

"Ani, Andi, it's late so go back in as change into your pajamas, ok?"

"Ok" they chorused

...

The dim lights casted down my mood as I walked in class, Mars at my side in this kind of bodyguard position.

He kept glaring at anyone who dared to look at me, so whenever I walked into class everyone would look away, I don't really understand if he just thinks I'm going to be bullied again since Amet is dead or if there's some other secret reason.

Sitting down on my desk, I watched the teacher tell us, the students something along the lines of  "I know I know, it's only the second day! But if you don't work hard in the beginning, you're out in a flash!"

The lesson was more boring then expected, with more me watching Mars then understanding the teacher, Mars didn't seem to think she was too important anyway: he kept glaring holes into the back of Fractis's head.

I rested my head on his shoulder, and the teacher looked at me and groaned.

"Mars, you will not toy with girls in my class!"
