We all sat around a round table, Janet shoveling food into her mouth and her friends talking. Jaime and I were sharing some fries because we were already full. Andi, however, was eating a kids meal and glaring at someone I couldn't see.

"Oh god," Jaime mumbled, putting his head in his arms.

"Hey, Jay!" Sirius said, Dariel walking behind him with his hands in his pockets. "Guess what?"

"What?" Jaime murmured unenthusiastically.

"I beat Dariel at bowling," Sirius bragged.

"You put the fence up and struggled to hold the damn bowling ball, tripped and almost slid into the poles yourself. That doesn't even count as a win,"

"Oh yes it does," Sirius said, grabbing a chair and sitting next to me.

"So you slept at Jaime's huh?" He asked. "I slept at Dariel's,"

"Really?" I asked, looking at Dariel. "Why?"

"Because Dariel-"

Dariel covered his mouth with his hand, and Sirius made weird noises I couldn't make out as words.

Andi cleared his throat. And Sirius looked at him, his expression darkening. "Aren't you her twin brother?"

"And I was surprised you managed to catch one unfortunate 'friend' and here I am finding out you have three?" He sneered at me.

"Yes," I replied, unsure of what I was agreeing too.

"You know you have an extremely punchable face," Sirius said with a tight-lipped smile.

"Oh," Andi said mockfully "You too,"

I stared at Sirius's leather jacket. "Isn't it a little daft to wear a leather jacket in summer?"

"I bought it just now... the mall's air conditioning is colder then the North and South Pole combined,"

"I doubt that. You'd be already dead from... over coldness if it was that cold,"

"Nerd," Andi said, rolling his eyes.

"So what?" Dariel replied for me.

There were a gang of boys that caught my eye as I looked around the mall in wonder, all wearing leather jackets and all kinds of jeans. They looked about a few years older then me, fifteen at most. One of them wasn't wearing a leather jacket, but a plain shirt and jeans topped off with a beanie. He looked about ten and I met his eyes for a second before they trailed off looking at Jaime then Sirius followed by  Dariel and topped of with Andi.

"What's with all the leather jackets?" I asked curiously.

"Because they think they look-"

"Why the hell is one of them smoking?! Is it even legal to smoke at fifteen?" I yelled, shocked, cutting in to his sentence.

"How do you know they're fifteen?"

"Oh god I remember reading a book one time and it talked about the legal age... I think it was eighteen or twenty one or something I don't remember... How did they even buy the fags?"

"What does that mean?" Andi asked, eyebrows raised.

"Cigarette," I replied. "This is all the more reason why you should start reading!"

Andi grunted and went back to stuffing his face with French fries. "Why'd you say fags when you could've said cigarette?" He said through a mouthful of fries.

"Because I'm expanding my vo-cab-u-lary," I said slowly. "And that's a word I learned from reading my English text book!"

"Oh, because you don't pay attention in class?" He snarled, swallowing his fries and taking a sip of his orange juice. A waiter put another kids meal on the table and Andi opened his chicken nuggets and searched in the bag for a packet of ketchup.
