Progression allows an element to be a part of something in a way where it seems more plausible that things will always remain intact. Annika always demanded one thing from Shivaay, for him to share his troubles with her. Shivaay being the man he is deemed it his foremost duty to shelter her from all such worries. Even after the countless times she talked to him about this very same thing he chose to keep her away from all troubles. It wasn't his lack of trust or his refusal to confide in her. He declared her as his strength, said it countless times that till the time they are together they can beat the entire world. It wasn't even the factor that he deemed her to be weak. If it was anything, it was reluctance to let anyone be burdened by the pressure of the responsibilities he'd taken upon himself solely. What sets the two to be unique in this regard is Annika's silent understanding of what goes on in her husband's brain alongside all the times she tried to talk him out of this. She confesses to his brothers about being aware of her husband's nature, despite the fact that she's vocally been persuading him to deviate from it. It's this level of understanding between the couple where they know what the other needs to hear but are not blind to the actual factual elements of their life either. She's like the moon to him, trying to guide the way of the tides but recognizes the very distinct nature of the water too, it flows freely at it's own will.
