Annika didn't choose to leave because her husband did, but because she loves him & she has faith in him. She supported his decision without question not like a typical Indian biwi who doesn't question her husband, but because she trusts him enough. Yes she said she's a typical middle class wife who lives with her husband & not an elite one who can stay on her own. But there is a difference between the dialogue she uttered to ease the tension & how many other Indian biwis adopt the same as a rule.
