The television industry has increasingly been turned into a rat-race for higher numbers (trps) and positions or rankings amongst the top shows of the week. Such factors have impacted how production houses, producers, directors and writers tend to structure their stories. The characters, especially the main leads are often expected to live up-to certain standards, in order to gain ultimate approval from the audience. Undeniably such things can not be ignored if trps remain to be the deciding factor behind a show being aired or taken down. But at least Shivika don't fake for the trp aunties. Sets them apart from almost every other Indian TV couple.
