Me and Minho came to an abrupt halt outside the homestead, pushing our way through the crowd to get inside. I could hear the bagger's ordering the girls to stop their fighting. But when I finally got through into the homestead where the gladers had formed a circle around the vicious fight, they weren't listening to a word the bagger's were saying.
The girl I had once seen locked in a coma in a bed was now standing above Malaya, a fistful of Malaya's hair in one hand while the other tried to hit her. I stood there shocked, they were both trying to kill each other, I thought maybe Malaya was the instigator but no!
Malaya kicked out violently, her foot slamming into Teresa's shin, sending the greenie crumbling to the ground, still a fist full of Malaya's hand clenched firmly in her hand. Malaya was forced closer to her from the hair pull and with no remorse grabbed the girls shirt and slammed her against the floor
She was never this aggressive, she only punched Gally in the face, this was a side of Malaya I had never seen.
"Let go of me before you're back in a coma!"
Malaya threatened before slamming Teresa's back against the floor again while Teresa pulled tighter on Laya's hair. I can't believe this
"You should have stayed in you room Glader!"
"I don't even know who you are, coma girl!"
Malaya and Teresa argued, both screaming at each other, Malaya seemed to be defending herself. Until she had enough, Malaya straight up elbowed Teresa across the face. So hard it sent the greenie into a daze, the girl crumpled to the floor allowing Laya to yank her hair free and throw herself onto her feet.
Malaya looked hysteric, anger and frightened all in one go. She looked around at all of us, but suddenly her eyes landed on me. Shame appeared evidently on her face and it crushed me. She better not think I'm mad at her. She let a heavy breath out before she went to walk over to me. But she was stopped
Teresa managed to get to her feet under her before she ran at Malaya, she tried in vain to pry Teresa's hands away, hitting and yanking, but she just wouldn't let go. Ok this was quite enough, I looked over at Kyle and waved my hand to get him to give me a hand separating these two.
We both ran in together, Kyle's stick raised to put between them and force them apart. Normally we would just hit them till they stopped, glad that wasn't the case. There was a lot of pulling and yanking, but soon I managed to wrap my arms around an angry Malaya and move her to the other side of the room.
Teresa was blocked on the opposite wall, a long stick keeping her from running at Malaya again. Teresa looked just as angry and confused as Malaya did. But she didn't look like she wanted to attack again.
Laya breathed heavily as she looked over my shoulder to glare at the girl. Clearly something had happened between these two, but I can't for the life of me think of a possible reason. They literally only just met. I snapped my fingers in front of her face as I rested my hands on her waist.
"Hey, hey don't look over there...What's going on?"
She shook her head rapidly before looking down, a frustrated and flustered look about her. Though I could expect that from her after what I just saw. There was a bit of arguing and shouting behind me and when I looked over I saw that the girl was now pushing her way through the crowd and out into the glade. Oh great.
"I don't know, I got up because I was feeling better than when I stepped out she was coming down the hall. I don't know, she just sort of ran at me. I can't explain, I can just feel that she's done something. Like it feels like she's done something in my past. I was just mad at her and I don't know why."
