Minho's POV

It was about mid-day when we started heading back to the glade. It had been a long night running around out there, but nothing. We had found nothing out there, it was a waste of time being out there.

"Minho, can I ask you something?"

Thomas said in a thoughtful tone at my side as we walked. It struck my curiosity that he wanted to talk right now, I was exhausted, I couldn't think of a reason to strike up conversation after that night of disappointment we just faced.

"Sure, whatever"

I answered, not overly interested in conversation but I suppose it's better to hear him out rather than have him pestering me for the rest of the day. He chewed his lip before sighing, looking over at me with a struggling feature.

"I need some advice. I kind of like this gir-

I immediately cringed, he was going to start asking me about Teresa, I didn't need to hear about that, that was too much for my tired brain to handle. I growled and rolled my eyes.

"Oh, for god's sake just ask her out shuck-face, it's painful watching you croon over her"

Thomas was shocked at my statement, like what I said was something from another universe. We had entered the glade and stopped at the entrance to the west door. He looked at me for a long period before creasing his brows.

"But you keep telling me off about it"

"I don't care Thomas, just go and ask her out"

Thomas held a smile before nodding to me. He wondered his eyes around the glade before sighing. His chest had clearly puffed out a little as courage pulsed through his head. What a shank!

"You're right, I'm going to go talk to Malaya right now"

He began to walk off, but I was left in shock. WHAT!!!?? Malaya, there was no way in hell I was going to let him go and do that with my acceptance, Malaya would kill me, Newt would kill me. I would kill me for god's sake.

"Wait!"

I yelled out and Thomas turned around, confusion on his features as I ran over and grabbed his shoulder. I swear to god, this boy never gives up, he is going to get hurt if he continues to chase a girl who was already accounted for.

I mean look at how affectionate her and Newt are, he can't still think he has a chance with her?! Newt and Malaya love each other, as sick as that is, those two were inseparable.

"I thought you were talking about Teresa, you will not by any means ask Malaya out. Why? Because I'll kick your pony loving butt if you do. She is Newt's girlfriend and asking her out is not a safe thing for you to do. Stick with Teresa, she likes you"

Thomas went to talk but he was interrupted, our arrival had gone around in gossip and soon we could see Newt heading towards us. But I found it strange that Laya wasn't with him. Was she ok?

He did look slightly flustered, but that would be from doing work rather than worrying. But even so, my mind began to wonder about what was going on. Work had been going on in the glade like nothing had happened, but I knew that someone had been hurt last night and been taken. That was not something that should be forgotten.
