Sorry
---------------

Gally looked crazy, his eyes were filled with a lunacy that made my skin crawl

'Get out!'

A voice shouted almost distantly in my head, but nothing came after it. It was a lone voice that made me want to leave the room. I no longer had trust in that boy. People might hate me for this, but so be it.

"Bark, watch him"

I put the dog down and he scampered across the floor, his head down low as a billowing growl bubbled through his canines. Gally dropped to his knees and looked at the dog like he was about to rip him to shreds. I'd like to see you try Gally.

Newt looked back at me and whispered under his breath, clearly smart enough to not start yelling while there's a griever outside our window.

"What are you doing?"

"Look at him Newt, he's going to kill someone"

Newt didn't say a word, more just looked at Gally in both rage and fear. Gally let a gurgling sound out of his mouther as he pushed at his ragged and torn clothes. Words started to form before he let a scream out.

"They'll kill you! The grievers will kill you all, one every night till it's over!"

The griever didn't even flinch at Gally's chaos. It just waited. Gally staggered to his feet and Bark growled louder. I didn't know what to do, I didn't want to tell Bark to attack him though I still feared he would do something stupid.

Gally staggered across the room, his leg wavered down by a heavy limp. He was walking towards us, though his eyes ripped into Thomas so bad I thought Thomas would run away. Gally stopped, just inches from Thomas before he sneered.

"You... it's all your fault!"

I jumped out the way on instinct, as Gally had swung his hand and punched Thomas right in the side of the head, sending the greenie crumpling to the floor with a wail. Newt had finally broken out of defence mode and sent Gally flying after a rough shove. Gally knocked into the desk near the window, sending the lamp shattering into pieces on the floor.

How had the griever not heard all of this? Why wasn't it moving or making any sound? I slipped my hands into Newt's, instantly he held it tight, pulling me as close as possible as we all watched in fear.

No one knew what to say as Gally recoiled himself, standing up straight and looking at all of us with that same lunacy. Why did he have to come back? Why couldn't he have just died? Now he's going to kill us all.

"It can't be solved. The shuck maze'll kill all you shanks... the grievers'll kill you... one every night till it's over... I ... its better this way... they'll only kill you one a night... their stupid variables"

I let a huff of breath out as the words sunk it, one a night. Variables, it panged a memory strand in my head, but I found it hard to really think it through. Especially when Newt started to take a step forward, letting my hand go and gesturing me to stay back. Hey, I'm controlling the dog here.

"Gally, shut you bloody hole, there's a griever right outside the window. Just sit on your butt and be quiet, maybe it will go away"

"No, you don't get it, Newt. You're too revolved around her-"

Newt pointed to me and I growled, eyeing him off like a cat and a dog ready to go at war with each other. I've hit him once. I can hit him again. Don't test me. Newt didn't like Gally talking to me clearly and let a growl out, but Gally talked first.

"You've always been revolved around her. Might I just add, I know who you are Malaya. You're a sad one aren't you? You wanna know who you were? You were nothing but a street rat, brought in one night with a group of girls. A foul mouth and a trigger-happy nature. A lunatic crank who knew nothing more than to kill anything that moved. Some role you play M"
