*MATURE CONTENT** consists of scenes that aren't bad but should hold warning.

Tris' POV:

I smooth my sundress before joining Tobias outside in the spring weather of blooming flowers and damp grass. He smiles at me before kissing me as I sit down with him near the pool and stare off into the clouds.

A sense of familiarity washes over me as we stare into the sky, as we usually do, for the past years we discovered Tobias remembers more sitting out here staring at the blue shades of the sky in peace. He has trouble remembering names, key details, and new information is hard to process quick, but he's remembered a lot and the gained love we share overcomes any missing pieces. This time though, the sun is shades of straight blue and white, instead of deep purples, pinks and oranges.

The city of Chicago sits at the bottom of my view.

Tobias became a CEO of a company, for which I'm not certain of what company or what exactly he does. I've climbed my workplace tower to become the lawmaker for foster children and the system, to help kids find homes where they won't be hurt, abused, or abandoned. With our checks balanced as one, we afforded this nice home on the hills above the city.

Tobias pulls me close and turns to look at me, his hand trails up my back, sending shivers down my spine. His hand travels to my neck where he draws unknown shapes. My breath catches.

My hand urges to stop his out of worry they might come outside, but instincts, maybe gravity, hold my arm down.

Tobias uses his other hand to turn my head toward his, as my lips trail across his cheek and his breath is hot against my cheek. I look up at him before I push my lips against his. An involuntary moan escapes his mouth out of surprise. He pushes his body closer and the hand drawing hearts on my neck packs it's bags and moves downtown to pull me closer to him, fulfilling both of our needs.

His hands are in my hair and my tongue is exploring his, although the journey may be short for I know it all too well.

The moment is ended when a door is open and closed behind us. We turn our heads and hear giggles as Riley runs over to us.

"Mommy!!" she screams. "River won't stop crying!" she jumps on me.

I catch her, but not before I tumble over in the grass laughing. With her in my arms, I tickle her.

"I'll get him," Tobias smiles at me and turn away.

"I bought more diapers this morning, they should be on the counter!" I yell to him.

"Gross momma, that's where we eat," Riley says as she begins to tickle me.

"You mean eat the food I buy you, silly goose." I smirk and toss her up a few inches before catching her and throwing her over my shoulder. She laughs while pounding my shoulder as I present to be an airplane flying across the backyard.

These moments are the best and they're meant to cherish, for you have no idea what you might lose in a heartbeat.
