Tris' POV:
I pick up my phone and dial Keegan's number to ask him for Four's pizza.
It rings a few times. I hear a pan drop downstairs.
I begin to slowly walk down the stairs, trying to see who is in my house besides me.
I step to the floor and who I see surprises me.
"Caleb?" I ask.
He smiles at me with a few suitcases and a phone pushed against his ear.
"Hey. Sorry, I was just grabbing a few things before I head out again," he says as he kneels down to put the pans back in their place.
"No, wait! Stay here a little while. I've missed you."
"Well, I have to be on the road in a few hours. Have to be at work by sunrise," he says.
"Work?" I ask, curiosity filling my mind.
"Yeah, I found myself a nice job in New York."
"Oh," I say, dissapointed that he can't stay longer, "Great."
He looks down at his stuff, then at my face.
"I guess I can stay a night," he says, probably seeing my sorrow.
"I'll have to leave early in the morning."
"Okay. That's totally okay. I didn't expect you. Here sit, I'll take that," I say grabbing his luggage and pulling it near the wall, "Would you like some coffee?"
"No, thank you."
"Oh, um, okay. So, um, tell me, about, um, ya know, how are you?"
He begins to speak of his new life, how he misses me, how he loves his job, how he misses mom and dad, how he found a way in life, after it all fell down.
I didn't make a life, I didn't find a nice job, the landlord just pays the bills for me, I've just been sitting alone at home with sadness, unlike Caleb, he made something good out of something bad, I wish I was more like him.
He picks up his speed as he speaks. Every word falling out like a water drop on a fountain.
I lose concentration as he talks, slipping away from each sentence , getting bored.
But something he says makes me jump a little.
"I found this lovely girl, her name is Marissa, we've been dating for maybe about 6 months. She's amazing."
My head pops up and I look at him as he begins to talk about the girl's appearance.
Yeah, maybe I don't have a nice life or a nice job like Caleb, but one thing is in common.
He has Marissa.
I have Four.
Tobias' POV:
"Get off me!" I scream at the hidious beast attacking me, knife in her hand.
"You never fell for me, never! And I hate that! I can't stand it anymore!"
"That's why you're trying to kill me?!" I scream.
"It'll be fun too," she says with a devilish smile.
"You're going fucking crazy!" I yell in her face, pushing her off of me.
As she rolls off, her knife slides againt my knee.
I tremble and grab my leg, looking at the deep wound.
I turn my head as she towers above me, her hair falling down five feet above my eyes.
"You must die!" She says as she flicks the knife at me.
I scoot over as fast as I can, the knife skimming my ear.
I try to grab the knife behind me, but my leg wound confronts me as I try to scoot across the hard wood floor.
The doorbell rings.
Thank god.
Tris, hurry up.
The doorbell rings again.
Tris, just open the door.
Lauren has a startled face.
She is three feet or so away from me, giving me a chance to scream.
"Tris! Come in! Hur-" I am cut off by Lauren's hand, the knife around my neck.
Suddenly, the door moves, like someone is kicking it, they kick it again, still no movement.
They kick it once again, and the door flies sideways.
There stands Uriah.
Lauren turns to me.
"I'll get you another time, and I will end you!" She yell-whispers.
The pain in my leg shrieks as Lauren drags me to the kitchen, where I have no visual of Uriah.
She pulls out something from a cabinet, I can hear the cabinet door creak.
Soon enough, something hits my head with a thunk, and black comes to my head, as I pass out onto the floor.
