Chapter 4- Suprise

Tris's POV:

I pull up to the school parking lot. I see Four and he looks at me. He quickly turns around. His back isnt bleeding through his shirt like last time which is good.

He walks up to Lauren. I wonder if she knows. But he said he hasn't told anyone. I wonder. I head into the school and go to science.

The teacher talks and I just draw on my backpack with sharpie's. I look up and Four is laughing with his friends. I keep drawing. I look back up then notice he's gone.

I see him being dragged out of the classroom by Lauren. OOOOH! This should be good! I ask the teacher if I can use the restroom. When I get into the restroom I peek out. Lauren is yelling at Four. I cant hear what she's saying.

She pushes him onto the ground and yells "WE'RE OVER!" I sigh. Wow. I walk out of the restroom wiping my hands and acting like everything is cool.

I pass Four and mouth the words 'It's cool man, you're free now'. I guess he gets it, so he laughs. I help him up. We walk into class. I sit back down. Time flies by and all I know I'm at lunch.

I get Wendy's and Four comes up behind me. He gets his food and nods in a funny, britishly manner. I laugh. I sit at the same table as usual then realize none of my friends are here. I look around. They are by the wall squealing. I walk over to them.

I see a paper. Omg! I totally forgot about cheerleading! I look at the paper.

TEAM

2- Marlene

3- Lynn

4- Molly

5- Shauna

Where is my name? I think to myself. My thoughts are interrupted by a loud scream. I turn to see Lauren crying. "I didn't make the team" she screams. I laugh.

I look at the paper once more and still dont see my name.

I then realize there is tiny text at the bottom of the paper that I didn't notice. It reads:

Captain: Tris

Yay!

I walk back over to my friends. They are smiling. I smile too.

*time lapse*

I drive back home and park my car.

Once I am in my house. I hear a knock. I open the door and there stands Four.

"So Ms.Cheerleading captain," I roll my eyes, "Whatcha watching?" he asks pointing to the t.v.

"Hunger Games" I say. I walk to the kitchen and put the salmon patties on a tray. I put the mac and cheese in a bowl. I get drinks and two forks then walk back to the living room.

When Four sees the food he rubs his stomach. I laugh. We eat our food and I slowly drift asleep...
