4. All apologies

- Nirvana's p.o.v -

I can't believe what Luke said yesterday. I served his ass with that smart ass comeback but what the fuck was that about? I decide not to think about it much. It's Monday and I'm tired as fuck. I get ready for work. I used my black glasses because I honestly didn't feel like going all fancy to work. I have nobody to impress so yeah. My blind ass is going with glasses today. As I spray some perfume I get a text.

From Unknown : Hey, look can we talk?
I hate when I get unknown texts from people and I don't know who they are.
From me : Uh who is this?
From Unknown: It's Luke. I know your probably wondering how I got your number. I asked Marley for it. I wanted to talk to you when you get to the building.
Ugh why does he want to talk.
From me: Fine. But don't be a dick :)
From Luke: I know. I'm sorry about Friday.

I decided not to answer from there. Texting Luke- much less talking to him was like hell on earth. You know how people say something is "heaven is a place on earth"? Well fuck that. Luke is hell, he's the reason I went through hell. But whatever right? I walk next door to Chris's apartment. "Good morning babe." I greet as I walk in and wrap my arms around his neck. "Good morning baby." He smiles and pecks my lips. "So are you gonna ride with me today or are you gonna meet me over at work?" I ask him as I grab a granola bar from his kitchen cabinets. He takes a drink from his coffee that was in his hands. "Actually I have to go a little later on cause the photography group isn't going to be there till 12:00 so yeah. Plus Carter said that today is my last photo shoot for the magazine page." Chris informs me. "Aww, I'm gonna miss working in the same building as you". I pout my lip. "It's alright babe. We always see each other here." He chuckles with his beautiful smile. He kisses me for about 5 seconds then pulls away. "Well I better get going to work. l don't wanna be late." I hug him from his waste. "Alright get out of here Ana. I love you babe. Have fun." Chris kisses the top of my head. "Bye bye babe. I'll see you later on." I kiss his cheek and turn the knob to the door so I could walk out.

I get inside my car and drive off to work listening to the Green Day radio. I looked for a parking spot after finally getting to the building. Once I walked in the building I was greeted by my co-workers. "Good morning Mrs. Har-Nirvana." Marge corrects herself. I chuckle and say " Good morning Marge. What's for today?" I ask. "Well you have a meeting with 5 seconds of summer and the board of trustees will be there to see what's been happening." She reads off her clipboard. I nod and walk to my office. "Mrs. Caldicott told me to give you a plan out paper to fill in so you could give it to her. It's basically where you put what you're planning to do with the projects like what days your going to have photo shoots and plan out everything." She informs me giving me a manila folder. "Alright. I'll get this to her before the meeting then." I unlock my door and walk in. "Will that be it for now Nirvana?" Marge asks. "Yes, I'll let you know if I need anything else." She nods and walks out the door. I begin to fill in the paper that Marge told me to fill in. I sighed after I did the paper. What did Luke need to talk to me for?

It was time to get all my stuff ready for the meeting. It was already 3:00 p.m. I gathered all my papers into a folder and grabbed my notepad and pen. "You all set for your meeting Nirvana?" Marge asks. "Uh yeah. Let me just send the pictures that I've taken so far and put them in my laptop." Quickly I sent them from my computer to my laptop in a matter of seconds. "Alright done." I say as Marge and I walk to the board room. "Also 5 seconds of summer and their manager are here already." She tells me. We both walk into the meeting board room. Luke, Michael, Ashton, and Calum are sitting next to John on the left side of the table. My boss, 2 co-workers, and the 3 board of trustees members are sitting on the right side of the long table. Marley and the girls are standing up on the other side of the room along with 2 other assistants including mine. "Alright we're just waiting for Julissa to show you guys her next journalism assignment as well." Brenda informs everybody. Julissa walks in 1 minute later after my boss said that. "Sorry guys for the hold up, I couldn't get my assistant to bring me my files." She says looking at her assistant who has her head down. That's why nobody likes Julissa. She's a bitch. Not to mention she flirts with everybody's boyfriends, husbands, or all the guys that have worked in this building. She looks over at everybody. I see her looking at Luke for 5 seconds. He smirks and she does as well. Wow so this is Luke when Aleisha leaves him alone.

After Julissa talked about her magazine page on Cameron Dallas, It was my turn to present and talk about my plans and what I'm going to be doing with 5sos and their books. I get up and start setting up my laptop to the projector while everybody is talking to each other. I set all my papers up and take a deep breath. I've done these meetings over the past year so I know what to do and say. I put my best cocky attitude on because the board of trustees members hate a soft editor. They like to see hard, cool, editors. "Alright this is my co-editor in chief, Nirvana Harris who is doing the scoops on 5 seconds of summer. She will now be presenting what she's been doing and future plans with the band." Brenda introduces me. "Thank you all for coming. If you are not aware who the hottest band of Today is well I'll show you all." The 4 boys stand up smiling. "This is 5 seconds of summer. That's their manager John Feldmann." I introduce them and they sit back down. I start the presentation. "Lately we've been working on the photo shoots for the covers, pages, and so on. I've been interviewing them as well. We'll be working on designs later. I'm going to show you all a few photo shoot pictures I have." I let the pictures slide on themselves. Once it's done I begin to talk again. "This is 5 seconds of summer, you all just saw what the first potential of the few pages beginning the assignments. Hopefully you all liked them." I close my laptop. Everybody claps. "I really like it so far. We've heard a lot about you Mrs. Harris. Your top co-editor in chief. You can't let us down. We're looking forward to seeing you're amazing work in those stands." The board of trustee member tells me. I smile and nod my head. "As part of your process to take photos, and write on them, I expect you to go to their concerts, interviews, and any other necessary places." Brenda tells me. "That's my plan." I respond. In my head, I was thinking something else. I didn't plan to follow them around everywhere. Fuck. "Who are the band members?" Another board of trustee member asked. "This is Calum Hood, the bassist and singer of the band, that's Ashton Irwin, the drummer, Michael Clifford, the lead guitarist and singer , and lastly Luke Hemming, the guitarist and lead singer of the band." I introduce them. "Ah yes, didn't you and Mr. Hemmings date?" The b.o.t member asked again. Why would she fucking ask that? If she wasn't one of my board bosses I would so murder her ass. "Yes, we did. It was a very long time ago. I promise you that us having an ex relationship won't affect my work. I"ll promise you that." I smiled uncomfortable. Luke looked uncomfortable as well. "Meeting dismissed." Brenda said. I never walked out of a meeting so fast in my life. That must of been the awkwardest shit ever since the time Luke and I argued in my room.

I hear Luke yell out for me from down the hallway " Nirvana!" He walks towards me. "Yes?" I respond. "Can we talk?" He asks. I was about to say no but then I realized I told him we would. Fuck. "Uh sure but let's go to my office. I don't want anyone seeing me talk to you." I say cockily. "Fair enough." He says. Hopefully this talk isn't like the last time. When we get to my office I close it and walk over to my desk putting everything down and trying to organize everything quickly.

"I'm sorry for that day in your apartment. I was being a dick because it was my first time seeing you in 2 years." He says softly but with a hint of his raspy deep voice. "I forgive you. I said a lot of shit I shouldn't have said either. I couldn't believe you were standing right in front of me after 2 years." I tell him. "So are we cool now?" He asks looking straight at me. I make contact with him as well. "I forgive you for that day but not about what happened with us." I say. He nods his head understandingly. "We better get going before the group make assumptions." I tell him. We walk out of my office. "Where do you think they went?" He asks. "Probably the meeting room." I say.

Julissa is approaching. "Hi, your Luke right?" She asks biting down on her bottom lip. "Yes." He shakes her hand. I see him biting his lip ring . Wow that's low. Wait what am I saying? He's Luke Hemmings. He'll cheat. I wouldn't be surprised if he fucks her behind Aleisha's back. "I'll be seeing you around." Luke smirks checking her out. She giggles "Definitely." I scoff and roll my eyes.
