You walked across the road of new York as fast as your little six year old legs could go.
It was snowing outside you only had a light coat, some sweat pants with little booties you made it across the busy street and ran over to the trash can in tried to reach inside it.
You stuffed your crummy, dirty little hands inside it and only pulled them out when you hands touched something that felt edible. You looked at it I was a half eaten sandwich.
You picked off the ants and looked for a spot to sit and rest while eating your sandwitch.
Finally you spotted a bench but a man with black longish hair and pale skin was sitting there just starring off into the distance.
He had on a thick black coat along with a green scarf rapped around his neck.
Sighing you held right into your sandwich and walked over to the bench and sat down. You feet ached from walking all day looking for good or something to fill up you empty stomach.
Then you started to show down on the sandwich it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And dear God were you happy someone didn't want the rest.
While you were eating you didn't notice that then man was now watching you in confused.
"What are you doing?" He asked in disgust.
You swallowed the bite you were eating and just stared at him.
He sighed "i just saw you grab the out of the trash bin, we're are your parents?!??!" He asked. You liked his voice.
"they left...after the aliens came... " Your small voice was shaky since you were freezing.
When you had said something about the aliens his face showed sorrow and regret.
"Were did they go?"
You blinked a few times then pointed at the sky.
"Up there..in heaven...." Then you took another bite out of the sandwich.I
He looked up at the sky his eyes got a little watery.
"......who do you leave with?" He asked you.
You shrugged "no one really....I just go were I want..."
You shuddered from the freezing cold then you felt warm rap around you along with a lot of extra weight.
You looked around yourself to figure out what just happened the man had given you his warm, very warm coat.
You looked over at him and smiled and he gave you a weak one in return "What's your name!" You asked him happily .
"Loki"
He had a funny name and you liked it. His name made you giggle.
"Your names silly" you giggled.
His face brightened from your giggle.
"What is your name? " He asked you.
You stoped laughing but your smile never left your face. "(Y/n), my mommy named me...she said that (y/n) was a really pretty name.." You told him.
He listened to ever word you had said.
You both were so into your conversation that you didn't notice the snow start falling down harder till Loki looked at his watch.
His face showed sadness again for you didn't know why.
"Would you like to stay with me (y/n)?" He asked you.
You thought about it, would you rather stay outside in the freezing cold or go with Loki who most likely had good that you didn't have to pick the bugs out of and a warm place to sleep.
Yep going with Loki was better.
You smiled at him and nodded he got up and picked you up resting you on his waist. You put your face into his neck to keep yourself more warm.

It had took a little while for him to walk to his home but soon he came to a stop witch caused you to look up.
His house on the outside looked really big and tall the building was like a skyscraper and it has really big 'A' in it.
He walked inside and instantly warm heat surround you gosh did you miss heating.
He walked pass a women at a desk, she didn't even give him a glance and then he got to the elevator and got in and pressed a floor number.
He smiled and looked down at you.
"Don't worry you'll like it here a lot"
"Thank you, Loki"
"Your welcome"
Soon the elevator came to a stop and he walked down a long hallway the stoped at a room and opened the door and walked I .
The room had a lot of green, gold and black with little grey.
He sat you down on his bed and walked over to the closet and looked through it and pulled out one of his green t-shirts.
"Here you can were this for bed I'll be right in the hall of i am needed" then he handed you the shirt that was way bigger then you normal size.
He then walked out and left the room.
You got out of your old crummy outfit that was wet and had random stains on it and put on the new fresh shirt.
The shirt was way big on you, when you stands up it went down to your little ankles.
You walked your stubby legs over to the door. You were just able to opened the door since you were so short.
Loki was leaning up against the wall with his eyes closed till he heard the door open.
He turned to you and smiled kindly at you.
Then almost out of nowhere tiredness hit you hard then you yawned. He picked you up and tucked you into his bed and sat up next to you.
Slowly the room started to disappear as you fell asleep.
Loki looked down at you smiling and rubbing your head softly and right then and there he knew he was never going to let you go or let anyone or thing hurt you.
