Upon watching the scene unfold in front of me, I noticed that the tug wasn't quite present as it was before.
I debated whether or not this trip was a complete bust until I saw a trio of people around my age race toward the crashed ship that had been over crowded with military and government workers.
Those kids were going to be in deep shit if they were caught.
One of them wore an orange bandana around his head which contrasted against his skin nicely. The other was a feminine boy with somewhat blond, unruly hair. The last wore a jacket, with an atrocious color of green and orange patches.
Who picked out these people's clothes?
I decided to get a closer look at the situation that was unfolding right before my very eyes.
I parked behind a rock large enough to hide a car, making sure I was completely unseen.
Upon taking a glance on what's happening on the inside, I noticed a boy with a red coat that could be mistaken for a midriff. He kicked ass like his life depended on it. Throwing swings left and right.
I squinted to get a better view on what was going on. He waltzed slowly towards a bed of some sort, speaking to himself. He seemed to lift up an unconscious man who had a white tuft of hair in the center of his head.
Suddenly, the trio from earlier barged in to 'save' the man that looked to be already saved.
They quickly escorted themselves out, trying their best to remain unseen.
Goodness, they were awful at trying to sneak away.
So much evidence left behind.
I turned my cycle on once again to follow that group, because goddamn, I definitely wanted in on whatever what was going on.
The tug had returned when they tried to squeeze themselves onto one cycle, which seemed to be the same model as mine, which could only fit a max 3 people.
Too bad guards were riding their asses as soon as they got on.
I suddenly felt obligated to help these guys out, for they were trying to get away with one of the biggest crimes I've ever seen.
With no delay, I skirted to their cycle, still trying to remain undetected.
Right as they made a turn, I jumped in back of them. Since midriff and I had the same cycle model, I decided to throw some of the authorities off track. Confusing them, they crashed into one another.
The adrenaline running through my body was almost intolerable to keep inside, so I let out a simple:
"Whoo-hoo-hoo!!"
Though no one could tell, I was grinning from ear to ear.
The crash caused several of the people on the cycle in front of me to turn around.
They all locked eyes with me, like I was some kind of target.
After a few moments, they realized that I was on their side.
Not wasting anymore time, I pushed down on my gas, gaining more momentum. I finally reached an area where Midriff and I were somewhat side by side.
He couldn't see my face, but he looked in my direction and gave me a simple nod.
I looked ahead of me, and saw a cliff.
This was going to be fun.
I let Midriff take the lead, hearing several screams of fear.
"Shut up and trust me!" I hear Midriff say, going against their pleas.
I snickered a tad, and got ready for the steep drop.
Screams flooded my ears once again as the people on Midriff's cycle feared for their lives.
I was almost enjoying the freefall until I noticed one the people lose grip on to Midriff's cycle.
It was the lanky dude with the godawful jacket. He somehow stumbled in his seat and tilted a little too much over the right, and fell out of his seat.
Now that was tragic.
A couple of "LANCE!"s escaped from the mouths of the two passengers of the other cycle.
A blood curdling scream was released into the canyon as an echo.
My breath hitched and my eyes widened.
Taking action, I decided to dip lower since Midriff was already farther than Lance.
I pressed on the gas more and more until I got the speed to catch up with the falling 'Lance'. I reached my arm out to his outstretched one and quickly grabbed it, using most of my strength to swing him onto my motorcycle.
After a few tries I finally got him on.
I thought for sure this dude was going to die.
When he was seated, he swiftly wrapped his arms around my waist, visibly shaken.
After a few sniffles, he managed to croak out a trembling, "T-thank you.."
I didn't say anything for I was extremely focused on catching up with Midriff.
Maybe Midriff shouldn't have been trusted that much.
