Pidge's P.O.V

Thank God someone was there to catch Lance.

I was sure this Keith guy would have just kept going and would have left Lance to fall to his death.

I couldn't lose another person close to me again. I just couldn't.

So when I saw Lance tumble off the cycle, my whole body went cold. It took me a few seconds to process what exactly was happening.

I felt so hopeless as I wasn't able to do anything but scream, holding out my arm shakily.

Trying to repress that horrific memory, I shut my eyes tightly.

I lied on a semi-comfortable mattress in the corner of a spare room Keith seemed to have. Unfortunately, there wasn't anymore beds other this one and Keith's. Shiro ended up getting Keith's.

As for Lance, Hunk and I?

Lance took the couch, while Hunk and I shared this bed.

Hunk seemed to be fast asleep, as his undisturbed slumber was gifted with snoring that could be heard from any room of the house.

It was loud, but tranquil, if that makes sense.

As my eyes were starting to flutter, I conjured up one drowsy thought before falling unconscious.

How did (Y/N) even find us?

                  Unidentified P.O.V

As the house grew silent with night, indistinctive chatter come from the dimly lit kitchen.

The scent of strong, newly made coffee would have had swarmed anyone's nostrils. Taking a whiff would cause you to gain a surge of energy, just from the smell alone.

If you were quiet enough, you could make out a sentence or two.

It ranged from questions like "Where did you come from?" to silly statements such as "Your driving sucks."

Anyone from a mile away could sense the rapport that flooded the kitchen.

That anyone was Lance.

As he lied on the couch, he could hear both Keith and (Y/N) talk about meaningless nonsense.

He didn't know why he was so upset that (Y/N) picked to stay up with Keith than get to know him.

He seemed to really want to get to know (Y/N).

He knew that (Y/N) promised to hang out with him another time but, something made him feel that promise was empty.

(Y/N) never made empty promises, though.

Lance had tossed himself onto his back, letting out a low sigh. He stared at the ceiling, assessing his somewhat trying day.

He received an earful earlier for doing what he saw fit in a simulation, only for it to go awol.

He was threatened to be kicked out of the Garrison if he hadn't cleaned up his act.

He almost fell into a steep canyon, on the brink of dying in front of his buds.

He was extremely grateful for (Y/N)'s unexpected arrival. There was no way he could probably repay them fairly.

He didn't know why, but everytime he thought of (Y/N) and the things they did for him and his friends, he felt the inside of his stomach being tickled.

He shut his eyes at the feeling in his stomach, controlling his breathing.

Once the house was in a state of tranquility, Lance fell into a shallow slumber.

As the sun glimmered over the horizon, another presence had awoken.

He was drowsy, head spinning as if he had gotten up too fast.

He didn't quite remember what happened the night before, or other nights for that matter.

Everything was just an obscure blur leading up to this point.

He pushed himself off a bed that he couldn't seem to recognize. A savage headache immediately overcame him, causing him to fall back down onto the mattress.

Taking a few deep breaths, he slowly got off the bed once again.

He quietly opened the tattered door that made a squeak when opened. He cringed at the noise, hopefully not 'giving away his position'

On guard, he walked out the room steadily. The home was filled with a somber silence that Shiro could get used to.

He turned the corner into the living room to see a sleeping figure on the couch, quiet snores escaping his mouth. He decided that since they didn't seem much like a threat, he'd tread carefully into the next room.

He followed the scent of coffee that came from the kitchen.

When he entered, he saw two figures sitting at the table. One of them rested their head on the table, shoulders slowly rising up and down. The other one had become aware of Shiro's presence, beginning to pour him a cup of coffee.

"He told me that I better not complain about being tired. But look who's sleeping." (Y/N) sneered.

Shiro stood at the doorway, not sure what to do or even say.

(Y/N) gently pushed the cup of coffee into the frazzled man's hands, laughing as they took a sip of their own coffee.

"Where am I, exactly?" Shiro inquired firmly.

"No clue, somewhere in a canyon," They shrugged. "I followed Keith. He seemed pretty adamant about getting you here."

Shiro relaxed at the name Keith, as if he were an ancient friend.

"I can wake him up if you want." They said blatantly.

"Please." Shiro thanked.

As time passed, Keith became conscious. He greeted Shiro's presence with a hug and immedietly began to assess a board that had evidence scattered through it, like he was trying to solve a crime.

Everyone soon began to wake up and saw what the commotion was all about.

As everyone grouped together once again, the sun had shined through the windows, lighting up the rooms with the warm morning glow.

The sleep must have been beneficial to everyone, for they seemed energized and ready to start the day.

This day was going to seem like it was never going to end.
