"Cool, but why would I need a crossbow in this moment in time?"

"I don't know, you tell me."

In a matter of seconds, I was put up to the test by the Princess. I could feel everyone's piercing gaze. My stomach began to drop.

I had no clue as to why I needed a crossbow. There were a thousand reasons why. I mean, it could have been because I was slightly dissatisfied with my knives. However, by the look on Allura's face, something was telling me that wasn't it.

I sighed as I tried to come up with the many different solutions to Allura's question. But alas, an answer was no where in sight.

"I don't...I don't know."

"Hmm. That's a shame isn't it?" She frowned, turning the other way.

I lowered my head in unexpected failure. I gazed longingly at the crossbow, searching for answers.

Suddenly, I hear small gasp come from in front of me.

"(Y/N), look out!" Lance called.

I turn around in time to be faced with an android of some sorts. They moved human like, but had robotic-like spasms.

Soon, a dome drew over the droid and I. I was completely locked in with this machine, unaware of what it will do.

"My day just keeps getting better!" I chuckled, throwing my hands in the air.

Bad idea.

The Android lunged at me with no hesitation. It drew two swords from its back, its neck slightly spasming.

I wasn't prepared for a fight. It was completely evident as I was not in a correct stance.

Luckily, my father taught me how to fight. He made sure that I fell on my ass until I got my stance right. I still have phantom pains on my rear.

I remember bruising all over my body when our 'training' was done. There were cuts on my lip, a black eye in some cases, and so many black n' blues. My father did not spare me the painless training any other child would have gotten. He made sure I learned, and learned well. My mother would complain but he would always reply with, "My child will not grow up to be a pussy! A few cuts and bruises will not kill them."

God, I miss my dad.

Though, there was an upside. I looked totally badass with cuts and the girls at my school would agree.

"Okay buddy, let's get this over with." I murmured.

I got into the fighting stance that was burned into my brain. My feet were far apart, but faced frontal. I had leverage from the waist up, which I planned on using to my advantage.

"Be careful, (Y/N)! Allura is trying to retract the dome!" Pidge warned.

'Aw, they care about me.' I smirked.

The Android wasted no time slashing their swords at my waist. The first time I dodged it, though, I wasn't so lucky the second time.

A splurge of curses rained from my mouth, getting ready for the Android's next move.

I must have been in shock to not realizing that I was cut. However, at the moment, a cut was less important than my life.

I noticed that my crossbow was thrown across the floor, now in the form of a bayard.

I quickly lept into action, tumbling underneath the Android's legs to collect my bayard.

"I'll never leave you again baby." I snickered, petting the bayard as if it were a pet.
