Chapter 22

Erika's pov ; Jakes been depressed lately . But it's because he doesn't want to lose Jax. I understand the feeling. I mean , Jake is already attached to Jax. As if one would a man with his son. Jax is like Jakes son . Jake took care of him from the start. I honestly don't like Jakes mom. Jax deserves someone who with take care of him and love him.  And Jake is that person . Jake is big brother father if that even makes since. He's been spending lots of time with Jax, I completely understand that. " babe " I say as I walk inside Jax's room , where the to were sitting on the love sacks. Jax looks over at me and smiles. He's the most 7 month old baby ever 😌 . Just then Jake looks over at me. " why don't we go to the court house , to make it permanent Jax stays with you " I suggest . He just shrugs his shoulders . " I need the parents signature for all of that. She's not gonna give it to me" says Jake referring to his mom. The mom who left him stranded. " not if you tell them what happened " I say as I sit on the floor in front of them. Jax crawls over to me and jake sits up. " and plus my aunty works in the court house , she can help us out " I add on . " hey I know your going through a lot , but this will help if she's gonna try and take him from you" I add on. He gets up and nods his head yes. Me and Jake get ready , and then I got Jax ready. Then we were off to the courthouse in the Tesla

The whole car ride was silent .... but as soon as we got there I text my aunty . She seen the text message and immediately walked out to us. " Erika " she says as she walks up and engulfs me in a hug . "  aunty steph , we need your help " I say as I look back at jake and show her Jax. We all walk in and go into her office. Jake explains what happened. Aunty steph sighed. " wow , that's a lot for one to take in @ she says as she puts her hand on Jakes shoulder.  " I can help , because you said she left you , I just need a couple documents from you , making good evidence stating how long and how many times it happened " she says as she walks out the room. Jake looks at my and sighed in relief. He takes Jax and puts him in his lap.

Minutes later , my aunty walks back in with a paper . " I'll have you sign this , it's a copy for us ,  I could already tell you've been having a hard time. I talked to the judge , he says he knows your mom. And she supposedly has a warrant , so little buddy here is yours " . I looked at jake and smiled. He signed the paper . I got up and ran to my aunt. " thank you so much for helping " I say. She hugs back . " anything for my niece " she says. I pull away and smile at her. Then we headed home.

Jake is somewhat going back to normal. We just got a huge boulder off his chest , so now he could breathe. I'm just really glad he won't lose Jax. I know Jax means everything to jake. Right now it's nighttime , Jax is already sleeping . I was heading up stairs to the room when jake walked up to me and hugged me so tight. I hugged back. " Erika . I love you so much.i dont know what I would do without you" he says. I lightly pushed my head out and kissed him.  He kisses lasted a while. I grabbed Jakes hand and we went inside his room.
