Chapter 12: Change in plans

'Your welcome?!' Stefan replied standing up, with his hands out wide

'How? How did you get here, so quickly?' I stuttered stand up and pointing at him

'I was walking home and I saw you!' He replied

'Yeah but how? What are you? A vampire?' I stuttered some more

'No, I was going to cross the road and i saw the lorry so i stopped, then i saw you and i ran and moved you out the way, oh and whats wrong with your legs? Couldn't you move?' He asked jokingly

I dust myself and went and stood next to Bels

'Well, thanks anyway!' Bels said staring at me 'As long as you're both okay, its all that really counts! right Rose? It the second time hes saved you, once when Rosa was having a go at me and now!' 

'Yeah, i guess, thanks' I said with an attitude crossing my arms

'Like i said, Your welcome!' He said 'What? Whats wrong? You upset i saved you?' He said realizing my expression and posture.

'No, Its just... I' I said before i was interrupted

'Jonnie!' Bels said cutting me off, running towards Jonnie and Cheryl who were walking down the road

'Hey!' Jonnie said

Heya!' Cheryl waved

'You what?' Stefan said, waiting for me to finish what i was saying

I pretended that i didn't hear him and started to walk towards Cheryl to give her a hug

After i had given both Jonnie and Cheryl a hug, i saw Stefan stood there. He was looking down to the floor. Jonnie walked towards him asked him if he was okay

'Yeah, I'm okay!' He smiled

'Okay! I saw you stood alone and i wasn't sure if you were okay!' Jonnie said

'Yeah I'm good!' Stefan assured

'Hi I'm Jonnie!' He smiled

'Hi I'm Stefan!' he smiled back with his right hand out ready to shake Jonnie's

'Hey, go you want to hang out with us? it will be fun, we just going to hang out at Jumpden!' Jonnie asked Stefan pointing towards Jumpden

Everyone else turned towards where Jonnie was pointing

'What?  No, no, No! I'm not going to Jumpden!' I said standing up (I was sat on a bench)

'Yeah me too!' Bels agreed standing up too

'Why not?' Cheryl wondered

'We were chased by this group of boys..' Bels explained

'Yeah and thats how I ended up on the road!' I added

'What group of boys? ' Stefan asked us

'I dont know any of them, but I think Rose does.' Bels replied pointing at me

Everyone turned to me

'Yeah, well I dont know all of them, just one, one of them was the one who followed me last night, thats why we ran, they were coming towards us' I said, talking with my hands.

'Hope you're okay! ' Cheryl said walking over to me and put her arm around me

'Yeah!' I said smiling

'Wait! is it the same guy from last night, are you sure?' Stefan said

'Yeah! I'm certain!'I replied

'Cause. ..' Stefan said unable to finish his sentence

'Okay, its a nice and sunny day, we can go some where else!' Jonnie interrupted

'Yeah! Like the beach?' Bels suggested

'Yeah!' Everyone agreed

'But thats hours away!  who's going to take us?' Cheryl said taking her hand off around my shoulder

'Yeah!  And... we havent our swimming costumes and everything!' I added

'Oh yeah!' The other 3 moaned

We all just stood and thought for a minute.

'How about we get a taxi, to go to Dow'un Beach, and the costume thing we could all go home and get them now? And meet back here?' Stefan suggested

'Yeah okay!' we all agreed

'Okay, ill call a taxi,' Stefan said pulling out his phone from his pocket 'and we'll meet back here in 15 minutes? Yeah?'

'Yeah!' The rest of us nodded

'Oh me and Cheryl might need at bit more time, we like 15 mins away' Jonnie pointed out

'Yeah!' Cheryl nodded

'Okay! Urmm Half an hour then? Okay?'Stefan added

'Yeah that would be okay! ' Cheryl replied

'Okay,  go now, get ahead start!'I said uncrossing my arms

'Oh Okay! Urmm bye! We meet you guys here!' 'Jonnie waved

The rest of us waved back

'Okay,  I'm going to call the taxi, and you two go home and get your stuff!' Stefan said dialling.

Me and Bels started to walk home. Stefan went the opposite direction

'Well! That was awkward!' Bels whispered

'Lets not talk about it! Okay?' I said

Within 5 mins we were back at Bels,  as Bels was opening the door I received a text from Dad

Dad: Hey pumpkin,  I just received a call from the hospital about your mum,  and I'm so sorry I know you're probably out having fun but you need to know this... your mum... she was very sick, and her body couldn't hold on any longer, pumpkin your mum just died! I'm so sorry!
