Chapter 24: Laughter to Tears!

The whole morning we laughed and laughed, catching up even more on the way. I found out things Bels hadnt told me, it was a good morning

It was about 12:45, when Bels got a text from Jonnie;

Jonnie: Hey, How is Rose doing? xx

Me (Bels): Heya, yeah she's okay! xx

Jonnie: Good, okay, me and Cheryl are going to and visit, is that okay? xx

...

Bels read out the messages, 'Can they come?' Bels asked looking at me

'No...'  I replied seriously 'I'm joking,  of course they can!' I said laughing

...

Me: Yeah, sure! :) xx

Jonnie: Oh good! Because we are already here!

...

And before Bels could reply they came through the door.

'Hey! Cheryl waved, walking towards me with a box of chocolates.

'Oh my god!' I said surprised 'Hey!' I said stretching my arms out to hug her.

When she hugged me, she handed me the flowers she had in her other hand

'N'awe! Thank you' I said, taking them from her and smelling them, they were my favourite flower,  Orchids,  same as mum.

'What about the chocolates?' I asked her jokingly but hoping that they were for me 'They for me?'

'What? No! you already got your flowers!' she said turning away with the box near her chest, with a serious look on her face

I sat there..

'I'm joking! Oh my god! Yeah they are for you! I'm so mean!' She handed me the box

The rest of us laughed

'No, you're not! its just the hospital haven't come with breakfast yet, and I'm starving!' I said

After saying that, a lady came in, dressed in white, she was holding a tray with what i guessed would be my breakfast,  the air smelt nice, it smelt like an English breakfast,  she put it down on this small table with wheels, and wheeled it over to me. It hovered over my leg that wasnt in a cast.

When I saw, properly what it was, i instantly lost my appetite,  on the plate there was a small grilled pork sausage, 2 slices of grilled tomato, there was a small egg in the corner which looked like was poached and two slices of white and brown toast.

As I looked at my breakfast, The woman left, leaving us by other selves again. They all looked at my reaction

As I was going to speak, my phone vibrated. I looked at it, it was a message from Stefan, I quickly read it to myself before picking up my phone.

Stefan: Hey, Rose! How are you doing? I know you probably dont want to talk to me right now, but I'm just checking to see if youre okay! xxx

Me: Yeah, you're right,  I don't want to talk to you, but then that what you want, And if you must know I WAS okay.. x

Stefan: What do you mean, I want for you not to talk to me? xxx

Me: You want to push me away! You tried to do that by said how you're not good enough for me! x

...

'Who is it?' Jonnie said, hugging Bels

'..Stefan!'I said taking a deep breathe

'Oh! What is he saying, may I ask?' Bels asked with her arm around Jonnie

'He is asking if I'm okay..'.I said summing it all up

'Oh!' Cheryl said crossing her arms

...

Stefan: Oh! :/ . But its true,  its for the best! For all of us!

Me: Yeah, exactly.. And What? How is it for the best? You said you love me and now you want to push me away!

Stefan: Okay, yeah, I do love you, i have since primary,  4 years, having it all bottled up inside!

Me: Then stop wanting to push me away?  :'( I have liked you too, for ages, longer than 4 years!  May i add?

How do you think I feel finding out you liked me all this time and now having you say we cant go out because you're thinking youre bad for me?!

Stefan: I'm sorry!  :(

...

I read the text, and felt wanting to cry. In the corner of my eye I could see Jonnie whispering in Bels ear, when he backed away, they both started to head out of the door, Holding hands! Without saying a word to me or Cheryl.

Me and Cheryl just looked at each other when we saw them disappear in the small crowd of doctors and nurses. 'She will tell me later' - 'He will tell me later' me and Cher both said at the same time

'Ohh!' Cheryl giggled

I couldn't help myself and I brust in to tears.

Cheryl looked confused.
