Chapter 35

Andy's POV

After being escorted into our cells again we both moved closer to each other. We didn't know what was going to happen now and what did we give CampBell that made him so happy. I thought about Sonya who I just watched get shot without remorse. I wanted to cry so bad but I knew now wasn't the time. I keep thinking its our fault, if only we did what was asked sooner, she would still be alive. I wasn't sure how the others would react when they find out, but I can only hope we will escape eventually.

Lauren had tears coming down her face and I grabbed her hand in mine, hoping I can give her some comfort. No words were spoken and we sat there not eating the food that was brought to us.

I thought about what Skylar was doing and how she was felling about all of this. We managed to fall asleep and all I dreamed about was Sonya getting shot. It changed to Lauren, Clarice, Lorna, John, Marcos and finally Skylar. I woke up feeling like my head was going to burst. I sat up and noticed it was light and morning was here. I went to wake up Lauren when I started hearing a voice. I wasn't sure if I was going crazy or I was really hearing Skylar in my head.

"Andy it's me Skylar can you hear me?"

"Skylar? Is that you?"

"Yes, oh my god are you okay."

"Why am I hearing you in my head?" I asked her until I felt Lauren's gaze on me. She looked at me like I was going crazy.

"Andy, Skylar isn't here."

"I know that but she's in my head, I can hear her."

"I think being confined in this cell is getting to you."

"Andy you still there?"

"Yea, my sister thinks I'm going crazy."

"Okay I don't have a lot of time so I'll make this fast. I asked Lorna and Marcos for permission for my mom and me to leave and meet with a friend."

"Friend? What friend?"

"His name is Mark, anyways he's a mutant who can transfer my thoughts to another person, as long as I have a connection to them."

"Because we're soul mates your able to use your friends power to contact me."

"Yes, I'm hear to tell you a plan we have set into motion later on."

Skylar told me the plan they came up with and to be prepared to leave. During this time I was relating the information out loud so Lauren could hear. She still thought I was crazy and gave me this confused look the while time.

"He can't keep this up much longer, I love you and I'll see you soon."

"Love you too."

Than the throbbing and her voice disappeared. All I could do now was wait to be rescued.

Clarice's POV

I managed to cry myself to sleep after watching Sonya die in front of me. James was trying to comfort me with words but it didn't help much. I woke up and looked across from me to see James, but he wasn't in his cell. I sat up right away, wondering where he was. I found out a few hours later when I saw him being dragged back in his cell.

The guys in suits left, but James wasn't moving and I was getting fearful for him. I called him and all he managed to do was look my way. What I saw brought me to tears again and I called his name over and over. I didn't get a response just his dilated eyes staring into mine. It took a couple more hours until he was coming too and managed to sit up and actually talk to me.
