Chapter 18 ~ The Song

I got into the sweatpants and sweatshirt Kat brought me and we walked out the door. I was walking till I got lifted up. I screamed until I realized who it was. "Really? You scared me!" I yelled. "Sorry, I just missed you" Hayes said putting his forehead against mine. "Okay love birds let's go so I can see my Mattypoo" Kat said. "I think I'm gonna throw up if you say that again" I said, she laughed and we got in the car. We drove and the only thought in my head was, that I'm free. Free from cancers trap. We pulled up to the house and I got out. I walked up the brick stairs and once I got in I felt very muscular arms around me. "Nash!" I yelled. "I missed you" he said in my ear. "I missed you too buddy!" I said. Then I heard someone pretending to clear there throat behind me. I let go of Nash and looked behind me to see Matt. "Wow, you don't even give our one step brother a hug. I see, it's cool" he starts walking away. "No!!!" I whine. I run up to him and give him a hug. "I probably missed you the most" I said in to his chest, since I'm so small. "Wow that hurts" almost everybody said. I pretended to be sad and stuck my bottom lip out and ran up stairs. I heard everybody laugh behind me. I went up to my room and it smelled like my Ed Hardy perfume. "I love the smell in here" Hayes said behind me. I turned around and he was standing in my doorway. "It's my favorite" I said. So that's why you wear it all the time" he said walking up to me. "Kats birthday is tomorrow, I don't even know what to get her" I said with a sigh. "I think you being home, and alive is good enough for her" he said, wrapping his arms around me from behind. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Um that's kinda rude" I said. "What do you mean?" He asked. "So you had doubts about me living?" I asked with my arms crossed I front of me. He stayed silent. I rolled me eyes that started to form tears. "You know what, whatever" I said pushing past him. I ran in to Shawn. "Sorry" I said while looking down. "Hey what's wrong?" He asked. Gawd I wish he didn't ask. "Nothing I'm fine" I said. "You sure?" He asked. "Yes Shawn" I said with smile. "Well okay Mrs. I'm fine" he started, I laughed. "What are you doing for Kats birthday present?" He asked, I shrugged. "I think you should sing" he said. "That's not a bad idea. But what should I sing?" I asked. "Well Matt was gonna sing for her but I told him no. I mean come one, we know Matt can't sing to save his life!" He said I laughed, it's true. "So I'm gonna sing Wanted from Hunter Hayes for her. But it's from Matt" he said. "Awe, that's sweet" I said with a smile. "Yup" he said popping the 'p'. We sat and watched Disney channel then a song was playing. "That's what I'm gonna sing!" I said jumping up. "Why that sing?" Shawn asked. "Because were sisters and she's basically singing that song to her sister!" I said. He nodded. "Shall we go write this in acoustic real quick?" He asked with a smile. "We shall!" I said. We got up and ran to my room and started re writing it. This is gonna be great!
