Chapter 19 ~ Planning

~Hayes~

As Emma pushed past me, I just stood there. "Okay?" I said out loud. "You are you talking to man?" Matt asked. "Myself now"I said. "Well where's Emma?" He asked. "How am I supposed to know?" I asked. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Well we were talking about what to get Kat for her birthday. I said her present should be the fact that you beat cancer, and your alive" I explained. "Then why isn't she with you?" He asked. "She took it offensive I guess. She said that I doubted she'd make it" I said. His mouth dropped. "Has she not seen how upset you were these past two weeks? And how happy you were when you found out she was fine?" He said. "I guess not" I said. "Well, she'll come around" he said then walked away. I don't know why she took that so offensively. I didn't mean it like that. I got up and walked out my bedroom door to see Emma and Shawn watching tv. Wow. I walked out the door and walked down to the beach. I sat there then I saw something wash up on the beach. I stood up and walked over to see a starfish. It was a pretty good size. It was orange (her favorite color) with white dots. It was pretty! I decided to give it to Kat. I found a bucket that a kid left and filled it with water and sand. I put the starfish in it and walked to house. I walked in and got greeted by everybody on the couch. "What ya got there?" Aaron asked. I showed him since the girls were at the mall. "Dude that is so freaking cool!" Matt said. I nodded. I walked up to my room. On the way I heard singing. It was Emma. She has an amazing voice. After she sang, I heard a male voice. I looked over the rail to the living room to see Shawn wasn't there. Why would he be with her? I walked to my room and put the starfish on my desk. I locked my door on the way out. I sat down with the boys and watched tv.

I would be lying if I said i didn't still have feelings for Emma. I mean, I can't help it. Believe me I really REALLY like Rosie. But there's but that one thing about Emma, that makes you fall for her. Now I'm sure I'm not the only one here that hasn't fell for her. She's perfect. "Dang your good!" I said once she finished. "Thanks" she blushed. We kept working on the so g when the door opened. "What's going on?"

I got up and decided to go get Emma. We were gonna talk about Kats party. I walked in Shawn's room. "What's going on?" I asked. "Nothing much just working on Emma's present for Kat" I nodded and looked at Emma. She looked at me, she just didn't smile. I sighed. We walked downstairs and we were up late, and we all eventually fell asleep.

I woke up to the smell of breakfast. Waffles, bacon and eggs. I was the last one awake. I got up and walked over to the table next to Emma and Nash. Kat and Matt were still asleep. At least I think there sleeping ;). But they eventually came down. We all just laughed. "Shut up we didn't do anything!" Kat wined. "Happy birthday sis!" Emma said hugging her. Everybody did I too. After breakfast we all got dressed.
