Chapter 25 ~ Just Friends

I got up and walked out. "Can we come in now? We would like to see Emma too ya know" Rosie said. I nodded and pulled Nash aside. "Okay 2 things 1. Where is Aaron?" I asked. "They had to get his face checked out, since he got punched in the face so many times" he said. "2. Emma.... Broke up with me" I said. His eyes widened. "What?" He said. I licked my lips and nodded. "Bro, I'm so sorry" he said. "Me too" I said. I put my hands in my pockets and started to walk away. "Hayes where are you going?" He asked me. "Just gonna take a, walk" I said looking down. Gawd why did I even date Amber. I know, I know. It was to get Emma off my mind. But honestly, I could've went back to Alex. Not that I want to, but it would've made this easier. Gawd I really messed up...

"Ow ow ow ow ow" I said in pain. "Sorry sir" the nurse said. She was examining my nose. "Well" she said taking off the rubber gloves. "It's not broken, but there is major bruising" she said. "The bleeding?" I asked. "The bleeding is only for now. But how exactly did this happen?" She asked. I can't tell her I was in a fight. "I fell, down the stairs" I said. She nodded and said I could go. I had a little bit of a black eye and a bruised nose. I walked in to Emma's room. "Hey" I said to Emma. "Hey! OMG your eye! And your... Nose" she said. I laughed a little. "Eh I'll be fine" I said. She smiled. "Thank you" she said. "For what?" I asked. "Taking care of Ryder" she said. "Anything for you" I said taking her hand. "Did he..... Do.... Anything to you?" I asked. She shook her head no. "I didn't let him, that's why he hit me so much..." She said. "But he would've beaten it out of me if none of you guys showed up" she said. "Awe!" Everybody said and we all hugged her.

I walked back to Emma's room and they were having a group hug. I smiled to myself. If we were meant to be, then we will get back together. Soon I hope. But when did she ever go out with Ryder? 'Oh wait, probably when you went out with Amber you jerk.' Shut up conscience. The doctor said she was fine, she'll just be really sore and have really bad bruising a on her back, cheek, wrists, and knees. At least it's not like last time we came here. She had cancer, and that can't happen again. Not something that severe. I didn't even walk in, I just stood in the door way. I'm not mad at her, I'm mad at myself. But she didn't let me explain, I should be kinda mad. But it's her decision. Of course I still want to be with her, but she doesn't want to be with me. I have to show her that she can trust me again. But I can't help if girls are all over me like that. It's just, wel. How girls are! I gotta get her back, she could fall into the wrong arms, and get really hurt. Wait... That's it. Somebody's got to sweep her off her feet, then break her heart. While she's broken, I can help her fix her broken heart. But who? I mean I know Shawn liked her and all, but he has Rosie. Thank Gawd. I could tell Aaron still had at thing for her, specialy by what just happened. He hit him real hard, and just kinda lost it. Believe me, I wanted to kill the guy. But Nash wouldn't let me do it. I finally moved from the door way to over to Emma. "Hey" she whispered to me. I looked over at her. "Just because we're not together, doesn't mean we can't be friends right?" She asked. I hate those words...it's what I was afraid of. I sighed. "Friends" I said with a fake smile. She smiled back, Gawd I'm gonna miss her, us.
