Epilogue

Meredith Therese Crisanto's POV

Two of my boys are both sitting on our dining area, waiting for their Daddy to come home from work. The other one's patiently waiting while the other's already showing signs of major tantrums.

Napakagat ako sa labi ko habang nilalagay sa oven ang mac 'n cheese para iinit. Aelyx is pacifying his brother who's already pouting pero mukhang hindi na ito nakikinig sa Kuya niya.

"The babies are getting hungry! Daddy should be home already!" maktol nito sabay baba sa silya niya at tumakbo papunta sakin.

Kyrian Alas E. Crisanto is so much like his Father. On Ash's bad days. Kung si Aelyx ay kaugali ni Ash pag mabait, si Alas naman ay pag hindi. He's very demanding, always seeking his Daddy's attention, mine and his Kuya, but mostly his Dad's. At aaminin ko, minsan hindi ko kinakaya ang anak kong ito.

He raised his tiny arms, demanding to be carried. I smiled at him, dahan-dahang yumuko para buhatin ito.

"Mommy di ka pa gugutom?" humaba ang nguso nito,

"Di pa, sweetie. Ikaw ba?"

"I want to eat! Can I eat my dessert while we wait for Daddy?" he smiled wickedly,

Nanliit ang mata ko. So iyon pala ang gusto niya, hindi dahil sa nag-aalala siya na magutom ako. Tsk.

I made a serious face at maingat na naglakad papunta kay Aelyx habang buhat siya.

"Dinner first, Alas. Your Daddy's on his way na. Be patient." pangaral ko, mas humaba ang nguso nito at nag-isip ng sasabihin pero dahil sa nakitang seryoso ako, yumakap na lang ito sa leeg ko at bumulong pa ng 'I love you'.

"Alas, come here. Hindi pwede magbuhat si Mommy." pananaway ni Aelyx sa kapatid pero hindi siya nito sinunod.

"Daddy will get mad if Mommy got hurt, Alas." patuloy ni Aelyx, without a say, Alas wiggled to break free just in time when I heard Ash's voice coming our way.

"Daddy!"

There goes the naughty kid. Napailing kami ni Aelyx kay Alas. Sinalubong naman agad ni Ash ang anak at binuhat. Alas didn't even wait for his Father to sit down at bumulong na ito agad.

Nakinig naman ito sa anak habang nakatingin sakin, bahagyang nangingiti.

"Mommy is naughty, huh?" tawa ni Ash sabay baba kay Alas.

He looks tired habang niluluwagan ang neck tie at inaalis ang pagkakabutones ng damit, I walked closer to my husband and did it for him. He leaned automatically and gave my neck a kiss, wrapping his arms around my bulging stomach.

"How're my babies?" He whispered,

"Swimming. A bit too much." I answered weakly.

"You bled?" humigpit ang hawak nito at dumilim ang mga tingin.

Hindi ako sumagot pero ng kabigin ako nito palapit, alam kong wala akong choice kundi sabihin ang totoo. And I'm so scared of him, dahil pinilit ko ito. Ngayon, kaming dalawa ang nagsasuffer.

"Therese..." he said in a warning tone, at alam kong konti na lang ay  sisigaw na siya.

"Okay lang ako. It's just a minor bleeding kaya hindi na kita pinatawag and Kuya Jet was with me." Napatingala ito na parang humihiling sa sampung santo ng maraming pasensya.
