Chapter 15, Michelle's POV:
Walking through the doors of this mansion really wakes you up from missing much in Kentucky. I find myself clinging to Josh's arm and squeezing him gently whenever I see another detail I wish I could've made up on my own. This house is beautiful and owned by some dude in a famous all boy group I'm not sure of. I had my amazing Betsey Johnson dress and Louis red soles while Josh was stunning in a black suit and red tie. THis was more formal than I thought but great thing my dress wasn't as long as other girls here tonight. My hair falls in spiral curls down my back and my side swept bangs are pushed away. My makeup consists of gold eyeshadow with winged top liner and soft pink lips.
Caught in awe of the house withe dimmed lights, which make it seem even more eccentric to me, some boy with shaggy brown hair and a very beautiful girl on his arm came up to us as we walk along the wide red carpet to the bottom of a grand staircase.
"Hey Josh! We're so glad you two can make it," The girl says and I can automatically name her as Victoria Justice. "I haven't seen you in forever!" She queals giving him a hug asI let go for their embrace which was longer than usual but I didn't really mind. Her date and I seemed awkward but we introduced ourselves as they continued talking quietly next to us.
"Hi, I'm Michelle, nice to meet you." I give the guy a hug as he opens his arms wide for me. Our hug seemed to last awhile when we noticed Josh and Victoria awkwardly staring at us.
"I'm James." He replies with a sweet Irish accent making me scream inside.
Turning to Victoria I introduce myself as she does the same but the air was slowly growing thick and I wanted to roam the party instead since her and Josh do indeed have a past together.
"Well we'll see you guys around, there are the drinks and that's the dance floor." She pointed at the directions and we part.
"What's this party for?" I ask Josh in his ear. This seems more like a regular party to me but it's not with all the teen celebrities waling around but this could be their type of normal with them around.
"It's their new movie's before party which is premiering tomorrow and we're invited to the red carpet." He smiles at me. I'm guessing those two were forced to be each other's dates at this to make it more related to the movie but I'm sure no one is buying it since she's practically ignoring him and it's the guy's first movie. Well, I guess I'm defending him which makes it a bit normal for me.
"Want a drink?" He asks getting up. I nod and he makes his way somewhere across this big mansion leaving me alone to my thoughts at this table. I'm playing with a table cloth when I look up and see Josh talking to another gorgeous Hollywood star I can't name with the freaking darkness around and flashing lights.
I scoff and smile with sarcasm to myself as someone sits down next to me. I quickly look up and see James sat next to me.
"Hey." I welcome with a smile.
"Hey, why are you alone?" He looks around the table. "Aren't you with Josh?"
"He's talking to an old friend." I quickly respond. His eyes study mine, knowing I'm probably not so happy about it. Something about him makes me want to become his best friend and I'm trying to make a boundary line so what happened at Ryan's, won't happen here.
"So I heard this," I circle my finger enhancing the party going on around us. "Is all for a movie you're starring in with Victoria."
He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck, "Well yeah but I am nervous as hell when it comes the point that it's premiering tomorrow." He looks around and glances at Victoria then turns to me. "And with Victoria being on my ass about being nice to everyone, well mannered, and anything in between is annoying. She's a great friend but a challenging mentor."
