Chapter 2, Michelle's POV.
I knock on the window to our mini mansion and it's quiet inside but the lights are on. I knock harder because I've got hot pizza in my hands and some sodas hanging on my wrist.
"Austin! Tyler!" I yell and the door opens slowly to reveal a dark house and the moon shining from the pool reflection. I flicker on the light and as I do, someone pushes me in the house, snatches the pizza and quickly shuts the light before I can blink to see the people.
"Hey lovely." A man whispers in my ear sending shivers down my spine. It's not Austin or Tyler, who the fuck is this?
"Austin, Tyler get in here and take the damn pizza so you can pay me back." I say bluntly.
I hear snickering and Tyler turns the light on with the box of pizza in his hands as Austin hands a bottle of vodka to me.
"Calm down and get fucking drunk. You never had a sip so let loose for once, Elle." He slurred.
"Yeah, Michelle. You never have fun and you're graduating soon, fuck it all!" Tyler yells.
"Shut up and eat then go to bed." I snatch the bottle and walk to the kitchen and put it back in the alcohol shelf.
"Where's Josh?" Austin asks Tyler who's stuffing his face in his slice of pizza.
"Guys, I lost myself on my way to the bathroom." He walks in the kitchen expecting Austin and Tyler but his eyes gaze from my feet to my eyes, slowly examining my body features. I quickly get uncomfortable as he makes his way to me.
"Well I haven't seen you in awhile." His face so close to mine I can smell his hot alcohol breath and hold my breath tightly.
"Fuck off, you're drunk." I push him away from me and start cleaning up the mess they've made.
"I missed the sound of your voice even if you're cursing at me, it's still beautiful."
"Sure," I sigh.
"I miss the rush of your skin," Josh rubs his arm slowly up and down my arm and nuzzles into my neck from behind. "I miss the still of the silence as you breath out and I breath in." He takes my hand in his but I quickly let go and move away to wash dishes in the sink.
"I miss the sweet words you said to me, Elly." I make my way to the bottom cabinet across the kitchen and shrug his words off as if I never heard him say them.
"The swing of your hips always loosen my lips." Josh says seductively.
"Shut up already." Why am I so afraid of him right now? I'm trembling but I won't even admit it to myself.
"You still haven't forgiven me, have you?" His tone is serious now.
"I don't really care enough to anymore." I say quietly enough for him to hear me.
"You're so in love with me." Josh says laughing a bit.
"I'll spend my life to try and fall in love with you, asshole." I spit.
"We're going down." Josh says in sorrow.
"We've been down, Josh." I leave the kitchen as he walks behind me and slips an arm around my waist.
"It's nothing anymore, right? Is that why you're trying to hit on me so you can leave me feeling dirty? I know you better than you know yourself, Josh. Now go to bed in the guest room, you're tipsy." I push him up the stairs and see Austin and Tyler on the floor of the living room, sleeping like children then flicker the lights off.
"Michelle, can you sleep with me? Not like sex but just lay with me?" Josh asks pleadingly as I make my way to my bedroom across the hall.
"No, you're drunk and I'm tired. Goodnight Josh, I'll be in my room if you need me." I shut the door behind me and hear him groan loudly but slam the door right after. I get ready for bed like usual and pick up a few things scattered around my room. Before I crawl into bed, I play my iPod on a bose player and select my favorite playlist: Sleep. Which contains about 3/4 of John Mayer and OneRepublic then I finally cuddle with my pillow and try to fall asleep.
