War on Mount Weather Part 1

Kaya's P.O.V

I was with Monty as we were kept hidden.

"Attention. Class one quarantine protocols are now in effect. All citizens must report to level 5 immediately. Hard seal lockdown in T-minus 30 minutes and counting," I heard. I looekd over at Monty who looked back at me.

"Come on," Mrs. Ryan told us. We started to get out until we heard something.

"In here," Monty and I hid while we left Mrs. Ryan. I felt bad that we left her.

"Get farther back," Monty told me. I moved a bit before stopping.

We listened to what they were saying. I heard Mrs. Ryan scream and a gunshot. I covered my mouth as I heard a thud. I looked at Monty who put his index finger to his lips. I nodded as I looked over. I heard the guards talking about the grounders making me look over at Monty.

I heard more talking but this time, it sounded like Jasper, Maya, and Bellamy. Monty went out first.

"Monty," Jasper sighed in relief. I followed behind as I stared at Mrs. Ryan's body.

"Kaya," Bellamy said, helping me up. I wrapped my arms around him.

"What is it? What's wrong?" Bellamy asked.

"They know about the Grounders. That's why we hid. We... We didn't do anything to save the others. We let them kill Mrs. Ryan," Monty said. I leaned my head onto Bellamy as he held onto me.

"What do you mean they know about the Grounders?" Bellamy asked.

"It was on a soldier's walkie. They're going for the harvest chamber," Monty said.

"If they take it, we lose everyone," Bellamy said.

"Class one quarantine..." I heard.

"Come on!"

I let go of Bellamy. He held my hand before we all ran off.
