I arrived later in the evening and was so exhausted from the long drive. Chris insisted that I take a plane ride and he would take care of the tickets but I refused. It's not that I don't want him doing anything for me, but I just don't want to start relying on him, besides I love driving long distances. I know it might sound crazy but I do.

I cut my car engine off and laid my head back on the car seat and huffed out a breath. It wasn't really cold today and the environment look so great. The trees looks like they been remade into something else. All their leaves were now a beautiful green color.

I finally decided to get out of my car and get in the house. I just couldn't wait to see everyone, especially my mom. I haven't seen her since she was lying sick in a bed and couldn't walk.

I got down and took my bag along. As soon as I reached the door it opened and Miss. Simpson came outside with a garbage bag in her hand.

"Well, who do we have here?" She asked with excitement evidently in her voice. "Come here and give me a hug." She said placing the garbage down and gathering me in a big hug.
"Oooh. I've missed you so much." She said after she released me.

"I've missed you too." I told her. "Where's my mom?" I asked instantly.

"She's inside and been waiting for you since this morning. She haven't eaten a thing. I try making her, but she's  really stubborn you know." Miss. Simpson said, which made me to worry at once. She can't starve herself only because she's excited to see me.

"I understand. I'll go inside now." I told her.

"Okay honey. I'm just going to put this in the trashcan." She said referring to the garbage.

I nodded and went inside quickly.

"I'm home!" I yelled and heard my voice echoed through out the house.

"Roug! Roug!" I heard Jessie barked as she came running from the kitchen.

"Hey beautiful!" I said squatting before her on the floor. "You're growing big. Did you miss me?" I asked playfully.

She responded by licking my cheek. I laughed at her manner of conversation.

"Oh yes, you did miss me. And guess what? I missed you too." I told Jessie.

"Didn't you miss me too?" I heard a voice from behind me, which has turn from one I despised to a one I would want to hear everyday of my life.

"Mom!" I got up and reached at the button of the staircase. I clung to her neck with all the best of emotions in the world.

"Mom you're okay," I stated rather than asking, because she looks good as new.

"As okay as I'll ever be." She said. "I've missed you so much.

"I've missed you too mom." I said hugging her.

She stood starring at me for awhile.

"Uhh, is there a problem mom?"

"Nothing, I just thought you look really happy." she shook her head.

"Of course am really happy."

"Why don't you go take a bath and rest while I prepare you something to eat. You must be tired from that long drive. "

"Exhausted, you mean." I exaggerated.
I looked around searching for one person in particular.

"Where is Jo?" I asked my mom who was now on her way to the kitchen.

"He went out with some friends."

I nodded and ran upstairs to my room, dragging my bag behind. I quickly remove my clothes and went to the bathroom hopping in the shower. I took a steaming bath and went bag to my room wrap in  towel.
