*FIVE MONTHS LATER*(Lisa was already about 3 months pregnant when she found out)
Sam smiled lovingly at his boyfriend, who was currently sitting at their favourite spot at the park near Sam's dorm. Gabriel was stuffing his face with the bag of candy that Sam had brought him as they watched the ducks paddle around the small pond."I don't know how I love a candy addicted idiot like you," Sam rolls his eyes.
"I wuv you to Sammeh," Gabriel mumbles around his mouthful of candy, his eyes glowing happily.
Sam chuckles, pulling his shorty of a boyfriend onto his lap and playing with the golden hair he loved so much.
"So, I was thinking about something but I wanted to know your opinion first," Sam murmurs, pressing his lips against Gabe's head.
"What's that Samoose?"
"Well, you know that I want to move out of the dorms and into my own place, and I've been thinking about it, and you basically live at my dorm these days...." Sam swallowed trying to organize his thoughts.
"I'm listening," Gabe cranes his neck to smile at Sam.
"Well," Sam's phone chooses that moment to interrupt them by ringing shrilly.
"Dammit Dean, what do you want?" Sam asked, answering the phone.

Dean woke up to an empty bed, which wasn't surprising seeing how Lisa was normally up before him anyway. Sighing, Dean rolls out of bed and goes about his usual morning routine when a shout draws his attention to the living room.
"What the hell... Lisa!" Dean feels his heart miss a beat at the sight of his girlfriend on the ground.
"I think I'm in labor," she said with a small laugh, wincing in pain.
"Shit, Shit, okay, lets get you to the car," Dean felt panicked, he still wasn't ready for this moment and wished he had someone else here to help him. Speaking of, Dean had his phone out and was calling Sam as he help Lisa to the car.
"Sammy! Look, I know that you're busy with school- Wait you're spending the weekend with Gabe? Argh, look tell the midget I said hi and get your ass over here, Lisa's in labor."
Dean hurriedly starts the Impala up, rolling out of the driveway before squealing down the street with Sam talking quietly on the phone, telling him to calm down. Right, like he would be able to do that.
The drive to the hospital seemed to take too long, depsite the fact that he probably broke several laws on the way (but he did try to drive as safely as he could).
The moment he helped Lisa through the hospital doors, nurses were onto them. Within minutes Lisa was on a bed, being pushed up to the maternity ward.
Dean couldn't believe it, he sat in on of the uncomfortable plastic hospital chairs, running his hands through his hair and trying to stay as calm as possible.
His child was on the way. His. Dean wanted nothing more than to get into his baby and drive off, speeding down the road with his classic rock blasting through the radio.
But he couldn't just run away from this. So instead he sat in that horrible seat and rubbed at his face tiredly before going back to messing up his hair.
Of course, because everything seemed set against him, his mind was all too happy to remind him of Cas. Because in this moment, he lost the last string of hope he'd had in being with Castiel.
'I'm trying God, so damn hard, to be good to Lis and our child, and I know I'm not the praying type but if you're out there, then surely you must see how much I love him, I don't know what to do...' Dean thinks sadly, closing his eyes.
"Dean!" Sam was running over to him, Gabriel in tow.
Dean felt tired, he could barely muster a fake smile as his brother took a silent seat next to him. Gabriel was clutching Sam's hand tightly.
Dean wondered if he was always doign that to remind himself that he had Sammy back, probably. Dean couldn't blame him, he would do the same if...
No, he had a child on the way, he couldn't believe the way he was acting right now.
"So he's on the way then?" Sam asked quietly, looking worriedly at his brother's state.
Dean nods, his son, Ben was the name he and Lisa had agreed on, being brought into this world. Dean just hoped he wouldn't screw this kid up like he is, he wanted to protect his son from the real pains of the world.
Suddenly, doctors rush by yelling to some nurses to bring the crash unit to room 221. Dean's head whips up, his blood turning to ice. That was Lisa's room. Unable to think through the icy horror, Dean stumbles onto his feet and runs after them on shaky legs.
He was aware of his brother following close behind, but all he could think about was Lisa and their unborn child.
Lisa's room was swarming with nurses and doctors wearing somber faces as they work around Lisa. Dean leaned heavily against the door frame, feeling sick as the world fades from around him. All he could hear was the doctors worried tones and the horribly uneven beeping of the machine hooked up to Lisa.
"Sir, I'm sorry but I'm going to have ask you to leave the room," A tall doctor goes to shut the door.
"Please, thats my girlfriend, she's carrying my son," Dean chokes out.
The doctor looks sympathetic, "I'm sorry, we're doing everything we can but I need you to wait outside."
"What's wrong? Is Lis okay?" Dean knew it was a stupid question.
The doctor just looks at him with the sad eyes of a man who knows something that he couldn't say, before shutting the door and leaving a stunned Dean to stare blankly at the door.
"Dean," Sam places a hand on the shaking Dean's shoulder. "It'll be okay, she'll be fine."
Dean just stares through the small window into Lisa's room, they pulled the blinds but he needed to try.
A nurse runs into the room pushing a small cart or something but Dean doesn't pay much attention to her, because now he could see into the room again, he wished she'd closed the door.
"We're losing them! Get the crash cart ready, once I get the kid out we need to act fast."
There was a long pause between heartbeats now, and Dean pushed through the door. The doctor from before looked annoyed but let Dean stay as they worked over the covered up Lisa.
There was a hushed silence suddenly as everyone was focused on something on the smaller cart. Then a wailing noise filled the air, and it was because of this cry that it took everyone a moment to realise that it was replacing the absence of another sound. The machine hooked up to Lisa's heart had stopped beating, instead a single, monotone beep was following the line running across the screen.
Dean shook his head, falling to his knees as the doctors rushed around again.
"Call it," the doctor finally says.
"Time of death, 8:15 pm," a nurse scribbles something down on the clipboard in her hands.
