“So, kumusta friend ‘yong date niyo kagabi ni Benjo?” bungad na panalita ni Angel ng makarating ako sa aking desk. Sa mukha niya ay masasabi ko na kanina pa niya ako hinihintay. She was waiting while leaning over the wall with her arms crossed on her waist.

“Everything goes well. It’s just…” I trailed off as I take a seat on my computer chair and put my things in order under my desk.

“It’s just what?” She stand straightly and move demurely toward me. As she approached me I saw her eyes widen with a lifted eyebrow.

Despite of every beautiful thing that had happened last night. I still found myself carefully scanning over the moments that made the night worth remembering.

I rolled my eyes as I try to organize my thoughts inside my head. I want to tell her every detail of what we had last night but I couldn’t find any word best to describe how I felt about Benjo everytime he would  look at me and smile for no reason in the middle of our conversation. But everything just fades away as if it is stormed out of my head when I’m on the verged of saying it.

Umupo siya sa upuan na nasa harap ng aking desk. “Pinakakaba mo naman ako bes?” she said as she give me a hard look trying to make me spit the words out of my mouth.

“Kasi naman bes, everything about him is wonderful. As our conversation goes on parang pakiramdam ko kilalang kilala ko na siya.” I paused as Iook at her while she was waiting for me to continue.

 “Imagine, magkapareho kami ng favorite song, yung This I Promise You by N’Sync. Mas na amaze pa ako noong malaman ko ang small details about him. Narealize ko na hindi siya ganoon kalayo kay Max. They have similarities. Favorite ni Benjo ang kare-kare at adobo which is also Max’s favorite food. They also have the same preference when it comes to music and I was amaze when I found out that they were born on the same date and on the same year. Can you just believe it?” My eyes widen as I told her everything.

I looked at her and I know just by looking on the look on her face she is deeply awed. I can even tell that her jaw almost fell off as I was telling her the amazing things about Benjo.

“It’s good to her from you bes. Sana mas makilala mo pa siya at ganoon din siya sayo,” she said.

“Alam mo bes, ngayon mas napagtanto ko sa sarili ko na hindi imposible na ma in love ako kay Benjo.” I smiled at her but she forced a smile and look at me wryly.

“Pero ang unfair naman ata kung mamahalin mo lang siya dahil may pagkakahawig siya sa ex boyfriend mo.”

Her words make me flinched. I came to a halt, her words catching me completely caught off guard, and she continued.

“Pero bes ito lang ang masasabi ko sayo ah, don’t make a permanent decision out a temporary emotion. Hindi sa pinakikialaman kita sa mga desisyon mo ah pero sana mas maganda na din na pinag-iisipan mo ang mga bagay bago mo sila panindigan. It’s hard standing on the ground of beliefs which you’re not sure of. You have to choose if you want to be the pillar or the ground itself.”
