I wake up in the tent Dawn and I set up. I sit up and look around, seeing if Dawn is around. I think back to when I feel unconscious. I remember that woman... she ran. I think about what she did to us. Was she an Aura user?! My thoughts are interrupted by Dawn crawling into the tent. "You're up!" she exclaims. She embraces me before I have time to react. I just smile and hug her. She pulls away. "What happened? What were you doing out there?"

She looks into my eyes with an expression of worry. I think about the woman I saw, then the nightmares. I smile and put my hand on her cheek. "Don't worry."

She shakes her head. "You say that, but do you have any idea what I have to go through whenever this happens to you?"

I notice that her eyes are puffy, as if she had been crying. I smile through the pain. "A rock fell on my head, knocking me out."

She glares at me. "You were unconscious for three days, Chris." I feel my heart sink. She looks me in the eyes. "Tell the truth. Can't you trust me?"

I look her in the eyes and try to think of what to say, but nothing comes to my lips. Tears start appearing by her eyes. "I knew it," she murmurs.

I embrace her, but she doesn't hug back. She pushes me away and leaves the tent. "Talk to me when you can trust me with your problems."

I grit my teeth and walk out of the tent. I run through the cavern until I'm out of breath. I pant and squeeze my hands into fists. Aura surrounds them and I repeatedly punch the cavern walls, yelling like a maniac. I stop when I physically can't continue. I drop to my knees and look at my hands. They're bruised and bleeding from what I did. I slowly stand up and start walking back to the camp, taking an extra long time.

When I get back, Dawn looks at me, then turns away. I walk towards her and sit across from her. She crosses her arms and watches me. "So... are you going to tell the truth? If not, I'm going."

I look at her eyes. She's been crying again. I feel tears coming. I put my face in my hands, and take a deep breath through my quiet sobs. "There was... a woman."

"Go on."

"She watched Eve and I from the darkness, and when we spotted her... it was like being hit by Dark Void."

I lift my face out of my hands. Dawn is listening. "She showed me... terrible sights... death and destruction...

"It was a nightmare that wouldn't end no matter how many times I woke up."

Dawn stares at me, wide-eyed. Her mouth is slightly open. "What were these nightmares? Specifically."

I think back. I hear Dawn's screams dying out, my eyes, over and over and over. "You don't want to know. Trust me."

"I may not want to, but I need to. I need to so I can help you," she says, moving closer to me.

I look at her trusting eyes. I wonder if the Dawn I saw in my nightmare looked like this. Her innocent smile masking her serious personality; her beautiful eyes masking the terror that lies inside. "I saw you die."

Dawn's expression of kindness immediately disappears, being replaced with fear. "What?" she murmurs.

I hug her. "There's much more, but I don't want to say any more."

I think about that man and Dawn's rotting corpse withering away to nothing. I grit my teeth until I feel her arms around me. "It's fine. Just calm down. I love you."

She pulls back and looks me in the eyes, smiling. We kiss.

A few hours later, we're passing by Lake Acuity. Uxie flies around me, smiling. "We're back home!"

I smile. "Yep," I state, staring across the Lake. The setting sun is reflecting off of the surface of the water.

Dawn grabs my hand. "I wish we could swim in it. The water looks so clear and the landscape is beautiful."

Snow rests on the grass around the lake. I notice the water isn't frozen. "Uxie? Do you have something to do with the water?"

She thinks, then nods. "Yup. The three lakes are special. They never freeze and they never get too hot."

I feel the refreshing chill of the breeze on my face as I take out my Pokédex and take a picture. "It's absolutely breathtaking."

Mom walks over. "How about I take a picture of you two and your pokémon?"

Dawn smiles. "Sure."

We sit in the snowy grass. We let our pokémon out and smile. Eve lays in my lap. Uxie and Mesprit float next to each other above Dawn and I. Dawn and I each have one arm around each other. The rest of our pokémon are sitting around us. Mom takes the picture and smiles. "Perfect."
