Harry’s POV:

Three voices spoke out coming from Sophie, Becca and Liam’s lips.

“The grass is always greener in somebody else’s lake”

Everyone’s eyes moved towards the three. Liam and Becca where sat staring at Sophie as if a huge light bulb that had been out for years had just turned on.

“I KNEW IT!” Becks shouted jumping up. I have never seen her speak up like this so I was in shock but I was so confused. “It is you! I wasn’t going mad! You’re Sophie Ann Reardon who me and Liam went to school with in England for 13 years but then your parents got a job in Australia and you had to move. We all said that line, you have the stars on your suitcase which I drew on the day you left and the bracelet Liam made in preschool with the help of Mrs Riley, the teaching assistant. It’s been 3 years and 1 week since you left. Do you not even recognise me?”

She was crying now standing in front of the TV. I peered round hoping to still be able to watch it, the film was addicting to watch okay.

Sophie looked gobsmacked. Her face pale, with slight confusion. “Rebecca Louise Davies, Liam James Payne. Oh my god.” You could almost see all their memories they shared reflecting on her eyes.

Becca wiped her tears as Sophie stood up. “It’s you. It’s really you.” She said wrapping her arms around Becca. I thought the little reunion was cute and all but I was still bothered about not being able to watch The Little Mermaid.

I zoned out for the rest of the conversation and decided to go make some food since my stomach was practically screaming at me. “So... Who’s up for food?” I said getting up as the room filled with laughter. “What did I say?”

“This is a serious moment Harry.” Sophie giggled. Wow, that giggle. It rocketed through me and I tried to hide the fact I couldn’t keep my stand. “I’ll come join you” She smiled, something about her had changed from what I was used to. It’s as if she’d become a child inside again. I liked this side of her.

We walked to the kitchen and I started cooking. Sophie pulled herself onto the kitchen counter and began humming. The room’s heat began to rise due to the cooking so I slipped my snapback off and placed it on Sophie’s head causing another giggle to escape from her. If her giggle could kill I would be long gone by now. She was just… I don’t know how to put it.

I attempted to ignore this feeling but as I leant over her to get the pan she took her lip between her teeth and before I knew it I was staring right into her eyes, my face slowly itching closer.

“Hi guys I was just-“ Rebecca called skipping through the door with her hand in Niall’s.  She quickly turned on her heal and pushed Niall out, her hands against his chest. She left with a silent sorry and the awkwardness filled the room.
