Sophie POV;

I was sat in my room, curled up in a blanket in the new hotel in Manchester. Michael had gone out with the boys to meet fans and explore the city, leaving me back in the room, reading and watching films.

A quiet and gentle knock sounded on the door, causing me to stand up. My body wearing a baggy jumper and knee high socks with no makeup and my hair in a messy ponytail. I opened the door, expecting to see someone like Harry, trying to gain my friendship back after the ‘mistake’ we made.

It wasn’t. It was Niall.

“Do you fancy bowling tonight? Rebecca invited you but it still convinced you hate her…” He says softly with a sad smile. He must have known what had gone on. As long as Michael doesn’t find out, I really couldn’t care less.

“Oh uh-“ I start, attempting to make an excuse up to avoid the curly haired boy I’d been with only the night before. “I-I have to do something…” I say quickly, almost to try and cover up the fact I was really sitting in my room alone without any sign of Michael.

“If it’s to avoid Harry I understand. Although, you’re going to have to speak at some point. Come on, you’re not going to be able to avoid him your entire life Sophie. Have some fun… Bring a book if you need to but you’re coming with us…” He says softly as I rub my face.

“Okay, okay, give me half an hour to change and get ready” I groan as Niall fist pumps the air causing me to giggle and push him back out of the door. “Go and find your lover blondie” I laugh shaking my head.

About an hour later and we had arrived at the bowling alley. I was in a pair of denim shorts, a sunflower covered cropped tank top and white converse. A leather jacket covering my arms with my hair straightened with the side clipped up. I sighed gently watching the two boys go over to the reception to pay for a lane and a few games. My eyes turned to Rebecca who was focused on a random drawing on the wall, attempting to ignore me clearly.

“You do realise I’m not mad at you?” I said softly, watching her head slowly shake.

“That’s why you were ignoring me… You called me a slut Sophie…” She said softly with a sigh as I bit my lip.

“As did you to me, we’re as bad as each other Rebecca… You’re my best friend, please don’t put me through more than I’m already going through, it’s the least I need…” I say gently.

A small smile forming on her lips at the word best friend before suddenly finding myself tackled into a hug. My black bag settled which was once settled on my shoulder, now hung off of the bend in my elbow. “And she’s back” I smirk with a laugh before seeing Harry and Niall walk over.

This was bound to be fun…

We settled into our alley, myself only getting up to bowl the ball before returning to my latest book. Looking For Alaska by John Green. I turned the page slowly. My painted nails soon finding their way back to my mouth before lifting my head at the sound of Niall and Rebecca.

They were cute. I’d admit that much.

“Why don’t I take you out tomorrow? How does dinner sound?” He says softly as I look back down at my book, trying not to make it obvious I was listening to their conversation. Harry currently bowling his shot.

“That sounds perfect” She says gently, kissing his cheek as I smile softly. I was glad she’d chosen someone.

Unlike myself.

I was still messing with two perfectly innocent boys’ heads…

I really needed to sort myself out…
