Michael POV

All seven of us were currently in the small dressing room backstage at a small venue in Manchester. We were only here for another day or so before we left to attend another location on the ‘Take Me Home Tour’.

“I want to be in the tribe!” I yelled at Ashton who was claiming he was a member of a South African tribe with a bin lid around his neck. Calum was filming as he tried not to laugh. Rebecca was in a fit of laughter beside Sophie who was wiping her eyes rid of tears of laughter that were forming.

Ashton had brought Rebecca along for support and a friend for Sophie, seeing as her and Grace still weren’t 100% sorted out.

Four cans of red bull (each) later and we were as mad as anything could get. We were pumped for the show and we were dressed, fixing our hair up. I was currently sat in my chair having my hair styled in a messy way, scrolling through twitter.

A single tweet caught my eye.

‘She’s such a little whore. She slept with Harry and is suddenly back to Michael? GOLD DIGGER.’

Well. That wasn’t very nice.

Another caught my eye; ‘all she needs to do is die’. Followed by many, many more. I noticed her white iPhone 5 set on the table ahead of her in the mirror, most likely out of battery from listening to music together on the way here and having forgotten to charge it before she came out.

I began writing a tweet, reading it in my head to make sure it made sense and making sure it would fit into the 140 characters you could use per tweet.

When I was close to the end of the tweet, I looked over at the door, noticing everyone else had disappeared. “Michael, we need to get going, come on” Our manager called from the doorway as I stood up, still pissed at the girls who thought it was acceptable to write so much shit about my girlfriend.

I made my way to where everyone else was, setting my phone down on the table beside Sophie and gathering her into a tight hug in which she giggled and hugged back tightly. My arms lifting her off of the floor as my lips pressed against hers with a soft smile, instantly calming down at the girl stood in my arms.

“I love you, you know that right?” I say softly once she had been set down on the floor. My forehead pressed gently to hers as my hands held her waist under the large zip up hoodie she wore over her cropped t-shirt and denim shorts.

“Mhm, and I love you too, you know that” She says softly as he soft and small hand strokes my cheek, causing me to push my hand into her touch, much like a cat – I was always called kitten lately…

“Michael. We have to go” Our manager called once again as I groaned, grabbing my guitar and pick, pressing a long, hard kiss to her lips once more. Luke and Grace staring intently at each other as he held her to the wall, kissing her between muttered words with his guitar in his spare hand.

They were so cute it was disgusting.

We finally made our way on stage, playing a set list of various songs and speaking to the crowd and each other, entertaining to couple of hundred – maybe thousand – people in the room ahead of us.

My head turned to the right to see if Sophie was still there. She was, but my phone was in her hands.

I saw her place it down before whispering something to Rebecca and Grace who both pulled her into a tight hug, rubbing her back to comfort her. Her small frame shaking as she cried into the two girls arms. She was the older one out of them both, by a couple of months, but still the most sensitive…

The show soon ended as I put my guitar down and ran over to her, pulling her close as I sat on a stage equipment box, pulling her between my legs so her head to bury deep into my neck. Her sobs beginning to start again as he hands caught onto my long sleeved black t-shirt I had worn which was covered in sweat.

“Sh, sweetheart it’s alright… Let it out” I whispered as I traced random patterns onto her back. “I’m right here… It’s okay babe”

“T-They hate me Michael… What did I ever do?” She whimpered, crying harder before slowly pulling away – most likely to get breath. Her eye makeup had shifted a large amount in the direction of south, creating black waterfall like patterns under her perfect green eyes. A brighter shade than mine…

“Nothing, you did nothing… They just want to be noticed and to get to you” I whisper, sighing softly. I felt awful that this was partially because of me. The person she was getting the attacks for. “They’re jealous of how perfect you are” I whisper as she giggles.

Music to my Australian ears.

“You have to say that… You’re my boyfriend” She said softly as she wiped her eyes, beginning to calm down.

“And a very good one at that” I smirked tucking a strand of hair behind her ear gently and holding her chin in my hand, pulling her forehead to kiss her forehead. “I love you alright? Ignore anything anyone says that will make you think differently”

She nodded softly which was when I saw them. Luke and Grace leaving with a giggle coming from Grace’s lips and Luke’s arms around her small frame. Luke was still the youngest of us, much like Grace. It was weird to see him so loved up.

It felt weird to be so loved up myself.

Ash and Becky walked over to us. Sophie being pulled into a hug by Ashton and then by Calum. She was as close as you could be to us, almost our little sister.

Rebecca was next to hug her, whispering something in her ear which made her smile and walk back over to me, pulling me close and kissing me, taking me back at the sudden feeling.

Not that I was complaining…
