Michael’s POV
I stirred in the covers, my mind slowly returning consciousness but not daring to allow my eyes to open. A tired groan came from beside me, my eyes instantly opening to find Sophie curled up. Her eyes closed delicately, hair flowing unevenly, resting upon her face, hiding my view of her pink lips that connected with mine that night.
Her long eyelashes showed slight movements before opening slightly, revealing her glistening green orbs. A smile was placed upon her lips as mine reflected hers.
“Morning beautiful” My voice low ad husky, whispering in her ear. A sweet giggle escaped her lips and it was as if literal butterflies were swarming around my stomach, her cheeks filling with heat. “You were amazing last night. I hope you weren’t that good for the others.”
“Michael.”
“I’m just saying, you’re all mine” My arms closing the space between us whilst I nuzzled my face into her neck causing her to giggle loudly.
“I feel like doing something stupid.” I blurt out randomly without giving my mind the chance to rethink what I was saying. The raise of her eyebrow showed that she had my attention.
“Oh yeah and what’s that?”
“I have no idea but I’m going to find out”
“Should I be worried?”
“Well I am, so you definitely should.” I chuckled lightly, heaving myself up just enough to lean against the headboard.
Sophie rolled her eyes but her lips still forming as smile, as she stared up at me. “Shower with me?” It sounded as more of a question but I allowed her no time to answer as I slid off the mattress, my arms lifting her from the side into a bridal hold and walking into the bathroom.
The close proximity of our bodies as the water washed down them made her body seem so much more attractive then I had ever remembered. I took this chance to take in every part of her, my breath blowing away instantly as the small things I never noticed I loved seemed to run through me. The simple things, like washing her hair or holding her back to my chest as my hands rubbed the shower gel across her awakened body, made my heart swarm.
“I love you” I stated, breaking the comfortable silenced that we washed in.
“I love you more” My hands squeezed her sides as her body reacted instantly, fighting to escape the tickle.
“Don’t start that again you and I both know I will win”
“Do we now.” Sophie had now recovered from her giggling and had escaped my attack, turning to face me and resting her back against the cool tiles of the shower wall.
“Yes we do.” I pressed my lips against hers, muting her comeback.
It took all my might not to repeat last night’s activities as my eyes watched her dress in her laced underwear. Once dressed, I took my wild thought from earlier into action. We roamed the streets of Ireland, avoiding being mobbed by the paparazzi or even fans. I signed a few notebooks here and there and thanked people. It came as a shock to me to be recognised in a place so far from home. What thrilled me more was how caring they seemed towards Sophie. There were no rude remarks or even glares shot her way and some even asked if they could have a picture of the both of us when Sophie tried to cower away.
The day went amazing, as we stumbled past a tattoo parlour my eyes widened, my wild thought springing to mind.
“I’m getting a tattoo.” I blurted once again.
“Huh?” Her eyebrow raised up at me, yet again.
“I’m going to get a little ‘x’ tattoo on my middle finger because ‘x’ marks the spot and I want to mark this day as the best day of my life so whenever something goes wrong I can remind myself that there are god days in life I just have to get though the hard.”
Her eyes widened along with a smile as a tear rolled down the side of her cheek. “That was the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever heard you say and no matter how crazy and out of the blue this is I really don’t care.
As soon as the tattoo was inked onto my skin, Sophie took my hand in hers. I remembered how she bit her lip, worried if I was in any pain, but I didn’t take any notice of what was happening, I just sat staring at her. She moved my finger in her hands, engrossed in the ink.
“It’s beautiful”
“So are you”
